We need to loan him out, hopefully he impresses wherever he goes.

Here we come Dortmound, seems to be where attackers  ( or attack minded players) prosper. I think he needs to be taken out of the firing line, a season away may just be the best thing for everyone. 4:0 up we could have kept him on , but the game was killing his confidence, and ended up being a major negative on a good night for us.

A loan from a PR perspective looks like a disaster. But it could potentially be sugarcoated as a means to sell.

I think the only club that can save him at this point is Dortmund, hopefully they become an interested party.

Poor lad - everything he tried last night went wrong. It was like he was playing a totally different game to all the other players on the pitch.

All along we've been saying give him minutes and try and play him into form but based on last nights 45 minutes, it just ain't gonna happen. He makes Hudson-Odoi look decent!!

Until last night was all for giving him time but I'm afraid he is done , not only did everything he try  fail but he kept getting in the way .

Sorry but time is up

A loan will do him good. He just doesn't have it. He might still come good in an English game but needs a season away.

Would also help if people could stop quoting him as a 100m player. If we sell him for 30/40m after a loan it's not a disaster.

He's a very confusing player.

Pace and ability to manipulate the ball well at top speed, but a complete lack of fundamentals. If he starts doing the basics right he could be really good, but we've been waiting for him to start doing that for about a year now...

Honestly reminds me of Salah when he first came. I suspect the club aren’t too bothered yet and are hoping he gets better with time.

Biggest issue I see here is lack of awareness he thinks he has bags of time of the ball if he can get that basis right he will do better.

I have never seen anything like this ever. It is like he doesn't know how to play 11 v 11 football.

He hasn't even mastered the fundamentals. Something you want in even the 23rd man of a squad of 23.

The only thing that worries me is if he does manage to get his footballing foundations right we may end up disposing of a 10 goal, 10 assist a season type of player. The physical & technical side is there, his brain needs a little tweaking.

And Hudson-Odoi made Steve Guppy look decent.

This isn't a case of a loan. It is cut losses time . Loaning him out is not going to make him a better player. It will just serve to take a year off his contract.

It’s difficult to watch him recently. He’s been given plenty of game time but just doesn’t look good enough at this level. Hasn’t looked good for his country either.

Salah rarely got a game under Jose, he's either on when we were 3 up or all lost ( like his last game against Spurs). Mudryk had plenty of chances, at some stage enough is enough ( for now). He's on a long contract, so there are time for him to go on loan, but once he's gone it's difficult to get back, no doubt we will sign replacement for him.

Think we sell him either this summer or 2025.

Yep..probably still have 10 years on his contract at that point...

As I said Tuesday..his role is to stay out wide and take on the full back but he doesn't.  He wanders inside and just gets in the way of everyone else, so when the midfielders look out wide, he's not there. Even when he does get the ball, he's slightly worse than Sterling by running into traffic, hitting a brick wall and losing the ball; it's been like this since day 1 ...and now many months on with seemingly little to no progress.  Whether a loan is the answer is a difficult question. If he goes to any of the clubs in Europe is he going to come back any better, when the leagues in Europe are not as aggressive or fast as the EPL? He's young so there is time, but does he sit on the bench and only come on against teams that are not set up defensively or when we are 3-0 up.?  Maybe give him another pre-season and then decide..loan or sell.

Just based on this highlight, his problem is very simple. He think that he is better than he is.

There is a double team, very simple, I am not Hazard, just pass back. There is very little space ahead, I am not Neymar just pass back.

He's actually a really good passer of the ball and his great vision. The problem is and I suspect always will be that he simply can not dribble. I'm baffled that someone with good passing can't also use that technical ability to at least do simple dribbles.

We bought him for his speed and dribbling but it's his passing that is his only redeeming quality. If he wants to stand a chance of making it here he needs to adopt a pass first mentality. The coaches should be drilling this into his head.

I'm convinced people are on the wind up whenever they say Mudryk is good technically.

He struggles to closely control the ball which is the base of any technical ability.

Mudryk looks totally bereft of confidence lately. A far cry from that mesmerising debut when he was lauded as an incredible talent.

Perhaps loan him to Brighton for the rest of the season and let De Zerbi get the best out of him.

Straight swap with Mitoma.

Interesting idea. Didn't De Zerbi manage him at Shakhtar?

Just who was lauding him as a special player other than Shaktar and Arsenal though?

I watched him quite a few times playing against Scotland and against Celtic in the UCL prior to him signing. Nothing at all said to me he was an £80 million player.

If he was just direct we might have something but I was annoyed when we signed him and he still annoys me today.

Would anyone pay £50 million for him now? I hugely doubt it. A loan to a EPL team isn’t the worst idea though. He needs confidence.

Not really a good idea, he won't play.
