February 18, 20233 yr 2 minutes ago, RIP Mourinho said: I genuinely don't see anything wrong with the line up other than James not being at RB and KK shouldn't be playing. Agreed - but they seem woefully un-motivated and un-prepared wouldn't you say ?

February 18, 20233 yr Just now, Scott Harris said: Nah, some fans want us to ignore those little stats. f**k that, they can bury their heads in the sand all they like, I won't. after this, only the craziest will be supporting Potter.
February 18, 20233 yr Wouldn't it be hilarious if the Soton fans started singing..."we want you to stay we want you to stay Graham Potter we want you to stay!"...😅
February 18, 20233 yr Just now, General said: We all can all call for his head as long as we like, he's not going anywhere, there's a much bigger problem at the club - the new owners We don't really have a clue what the new owners will do. Of course they are going to say they are backing their guy long term but I suspect that will be put to the test very quickly the way things are going.
February 18, 20233 yr Potter has 45 minutes to salvage his Chelsea career, or sh*t's going to hit the fan real fast.
February 18, 20233 yr What a joke, Fofana with Chilwell were the only tiny bright moments of that half.
February 18, 20233 yr Well that was... not good. You could vaguely see what the idea was (put the ball in front of the forward players and let them run at Southampton's defence) and the team selection reflected that. That said, there was no plan or pattern in the build-up, inconsistent pressing, and from what I could tell, no instruction for the players once they got into the final third. Directness is fine (particularly given the enormous volume of complaints about sideways passing on here under Tuchel), but it is a huge risk to sacrifice control when you have no consistent idea of how you're going to actually use the space this then creates for you. Plus, I understand that injuries are a mitigating factor, but is Fernández and Kovačić really the midfield for this particular strategy? You have to have a ball winner in there surely? Or at least start with a back three? Another problem - now they're ahead they will have to less incentive to progress up the pitch or commit any players forward. Our gameplan (such as it is) will need a tweak. Has anyone checked on @Munkworth?

I ask because so many times we've been poor I've heard how a new player or youth player has been the "shining light" when I thought they were as bad as the rest.
February 18, 20233 yr D Fofana off and putting Mount up top?! This guy is f**king clueless he has to be TRYING to get sacked at this point

They haven't got much to worry about in defense anyway.
February 18, 20233 yr Plaudits to the bloke I could hear chanting "you don't know what you're doing" at Potter as he came back to the dugout
