I am not keen on going backwards again, even though I am one of Ancelotti's biggest fans and he can definitely do the job;

I think Postecoglou at Celtic could do a decent job too, but would take TT back in a heartbeat

Flick, Enrique, not sure who else. We would need someone experienced to steady the ship and motivate the players. Same old, same old really. Chelsea players only turn up when they want to. Coach gets the sack, turn up again, string of results, then they lack motivation again. The cycle continues. Waahaay. The club and it's players are so bi-polar.

My vote goes to Ange Postecoglou, current Celtic manager. He has won every competion he has coached in, except the world cup which is admittedly a big ask. He has won the  A League in Australia, J League in Japan, Asian cup with Australia, and Scottish Premier League with Celtic. His teams are exciting to watch and generally score lots of goals. He understands the game and what it takes to win.

Some absolutely classic Mourinho last night  - he never fails to raise a smile !

Roma boss Jose Mourinho was sent off in his side's Serie A defeat to Cremonese, his third red card of the season.

Cremonese claimed their first win of the season with a late Daniel Ciofani penalty securing a 2-1 win.

Mourinho, 60, was sent off two minutes into the second half but said he was provoked by the fourth official.

"I'm emotional but not crazy. For the first time in my career a referee has spoken to me in an unjustifiable way," said the former Chelsea boss.

"To have the reaction I had is because something happened. I need to know now if I can do something from a disciplinary point of view."

Mourinho claimed that the fourth official instructed referee Marco Piccinini to show a red card without giving a full description of the touchline incident.

"Unfortunately, the fourth official doesn't have the honesty to say what he said to me, how he said it and the way he treated me, which obviously triggered my reaction," said Mourinho after a defeat that left Roma fifth in the Serie A table.

"I want to see if there's an audio recording of what he said to me.

"I don't want to get into the fact that he's from Turin, that we have to play Juventus and he wants me off the touchline. I don't want to get into that. I want to get into the fact that for the first time in my career, a referee, and in this case a fourth official, spoke to me in an unacceptable way."

He said he went to the referees' dressing room after the match but that the fourth official "appears to have forgotten [what he said]".

"Piccinini saw me come into the dressing room and say to the fourth official: 'I want you to be honest and say what has happened.' He appears to have trouble with his memory."

The former Manchester United manager was sent off in September against Atalanta and in November against Torino, both for outbursts over decisions against his side.

Cremonese's victory ended a joint-Serie A record of 30 games without a win dating back to 1995-96, their previous season in the top flight.

I'd be leaning towards Carlo. You can guarantee he'd get the winning mentality back.

I'm starting to get totally disinterested though, If the players don't have enough professional pride to at the very least be competitive as a group then I give up.

Absolutely no one involved with Celtic welcome at Chelsea i'm afraid.

Has he said he's leaving Madrid? If not i see no possible way he'd come here.

He's got no track record in developing a bunch of young players. If there's a conversation to be had in regard to a Carlo 2.0 its when this bunch reach their peak.

The likes of Madrid, late 00s Chelsea and 00s Milan were perfect for his hands off type of management, players that were at their peak had little to nothing else to learn and could get away with doing the basic training and turning up on matchday. Our current bunch need micro coaching at this stage of their career.

We're not as good but out of all the clubs he's managed our squad profile is most similar to the one he had at Bayern, a squad that took training sessions behind his back because they didn't feel stimulated enough.

De Zerbi is apparently the owners preference. Why didn’t they just buy Brighton?

Mudryk can overtake Hazard in Chelsea folklore if he arrives.

De Zerbi is successfully adopting Arteta & Guardiola’s tactical approaches with his systems on and off the ball, Potter was unable to get Brighton going the way the Italian has done. As an Englishman, I genuinely don’t see an ‘elite’ English coach doing what an average italian coach can do, the understanding is just different. We talk about the risk involved with De Zerbi but there are already clear examples during his short spell at Brighton to suggest he can handle the big egos or dressing room issues.

De Zerbi’s character and personality is perhaps the biggest difference between him and Potter. Football journalist Guillem Balague has said that De Zerbi: “Is 5’10 but when he walks into a room it is like he is 6’5 – he looks bigger, he has aura and a great personality.

Where Potter’s football seemed to be extremely practical and based on the process, De Zerbi’s Brighton play with more passion. De Zerbi is more attentive to tactics, his work sessions they are less heavy from a physical point of view, but you always have to stay awake and attentive mentally.

Potter = squad building yes man, more physical training sessions

De Zerbi = tactics, tactics and tactics.

As we all know, Pep compliments every manager but you have to look closely at his words to distinguish the real compliments from the fake, he stated that De Zerbi is someone he follows and learns from.

One name that I avoided till now but since we are in desperate times... Massimiliano Allegri.

IMO his tactic is a bit outdated but the truth is that without the 15 points deduction, Juventus is tied with the Milano teams in the top 3 there.

Can't ignore that his great record in league football and he did reach CL final too. So a proven winner that can work with any kind of player out there and that did dominate the domestic league similarly to Pep in the PL.

Anyone is still better than Potter and Poch. So might as well give Allegri a chance.

I'm a Juve fan who's mildly curious about the PL and sometimes skims various PL forums just to see what fans say about current situations, so I happened on this topic here because your managerial situation is quite peculiar. And as a Juve fan I have to reply to your comment with: LMAO.

Allegri is still with us simply because of the bond we have with him and the deep affection we all feel for him as a person - he's probably the Juve manager I like the most in terms of personality among the ones we had in my life; but if I were any other club I'd never choose him. He (barely) works for us because his style and our identity have melded together over the years, but he's fading and I really struggle to imagine him having success at another club. Anyway I highly doubt he'd ever leave Italy. Also, he wouldn't accept an offer unless he was already fired from Juve, he's not that kind of guy.

Why don't you rate Pochettino? I don't know him that well but he always seemed like a good coach and one of the best options out there for you.

As for Mourinho, who some of you guys also mentioned, he's completely past it as well. You'd be as crazy to choose him as you'd be in choosing Allegri.

neither have a strong track record when it comes to developing and improving younger players.

Zidane maybe, but Ancelotti has a stellar record with young attacking players whether that be Shevchenko, Kaka, Sturridge, Vinicius, Rodrygo or Tchouameni...etc

I beg to differ 're Sturridge, he ignored him for months despite Anelka declining and Kalou being Kalou then loaned him out while signing Torres.

I never said he didn't have any players but when has he turned a group of them into a team challenging? Pretty much all of them were coming into an already complete team.

Juventus are being linked with De Zerbi, so in an ideal world (given the fact Boehly is clearly going to be stubborn and stick with Potter) Juventus hire De Zerbi, then Juve get hit with further punishments, their appeals go tits up resulting in turmoil, thus, we go in for the clean swoop.

Summer 2023: De Zerbi > Juventus

December 2023: Potter finally sacked

December 2023: De Zerbi > Chelsea

We've had loads of Spurs players etc at Chelsea in the past and welcomed them unconditionally,  and we've got more bad blood between us than with a team like Celtic.

I don't care where a player or manager comes from as long as they improve us.
