There's no questioning the effectiveness and brilliance of Peps teams, but damn they are boring to watch.  Don't think I've ever been as unentertained watching a team decimate someone by 4 goals.

Maybe, as neutrals we don't see it the same way, I'm sure Citeh fans were entertained though, as I reckon we would be if it was us .

Saw Quinn score a diving header against us, how he got off the ground I'll never know , but it was pure class.

Who was that Everton keeper they called the bin man ? Another lump but superb keeper

Neville Southall. One of the best keepers in the world at the time.

Only bitter fans can't have been impressed by the way the destroyed Madrid last night, their football was fantastic to watch, way better than the way Guardiolas Barcelona team to watch.

Impressed for sure, but  I find Klopps style of football much more entertaining, and I’m far from a Liverpool fan.

Call me bitter, but I was far more entertained by the Luton v Sunderland game on Tuesday as a neutral than watching 20 minutes of the Citeh v Real Madrid last night.

Last time a team dominated Real in CL was 2 years ago with Tuchel's Chelsea, even the first leg could have been a blown out if not for abundance of  lame finishes. City is the last of our problems this weekend and the next season. I do believe Pochettino will be able to bring out the best of a few players, just like what he did with Dele. Whether he wins a trophy is another story, again not the biggest issue for the next 12-18 months.

People talk about unlimited funds and wealth at City and for Pep.

most don’t realise how hard it is to consistently perform and be at the top and motivate your teams to play a certain way. Pep does that consistently and sustain those performances and motivation year after year.

just ask Klopp, Mou, Tuchel how difficult doing that means. Even with money.

They are far more watchable than last year. Last year version was extemely boring.

I don’t care about anything else. But Pochettino need to make us play like City now or prime Spurs when he was there. Direct, creative and penetrative. No other style matters. Pep style wins hands down no matter what anyone says.

What is city style?

The slow possesion false 9 of last year?

The two secure winger, big direct 9, 5 cb of this year?

Or two crazy good 10,two fast direct winger of sane and sterling?

We got battered in the home leg against Madrid, Tuchel put out a team designed to contain Madrid rather than get at them, PSG had shown they were vulnerable and we should have attacked them from the off. We then went to Madrid and attacked them, showing that vulnerability, it was a mistake the team he put out in the 1st leg.

Adaptability and getting the best out of any situations and set of players.

Ruddock put about 10 stone on after he retired.

Neil Shipperley looked like every single 40 year old who's asked by a mate to play cause they haven't got 11 players on Sunday. While googling this lard arse he's a sex pest and was caught having a sherman tank in front of a teenager.

Different opinions, in my memory we had them in the first leg, a draw was a steal for them, and that German striker coped a spray on social from Mrs Silva for missing clear cut chances. Second leg was similar, should have been settled in the first half, and 3 or 4 goals win wouldn't have flattered us.

City were brilliant. Nothing boring about the speed and tenacity in which they hunted down Madrid and moved the ball. I wish Chelsea showed that energy.

Jose mk1 era Chelsea also used to be call boring. We were a winning machine at that time. Personally I saw nothing boring with the way we played with pace and power, duff and robben, moving on the midfield machine of lamps, ballack and bison, to maka and the spine we had.  We were awesome. A real team . Nothing boring about it

The sustained success probably a testament to how good of a coach Pep is.

I remember it being a missed opportunity, we went out to not lose the first leg, went behind and only got going when he made subs after Havertz scored. Then Mendy threw one in.

Second leg was fantastic as we just went for them and opened them up almost at will at times, showing the folly in giving them too much respect in the first leg.

Expecting announcement from Chelsea today….

Should be finalized today apparently. 3 year deal and will start July 1st.

That's great all around. Looks like Boehly is learning. Imagine if he slapped another 6 year deal.

I think you two are talking about the 2021 & 2022 games respectively. So icecool is thinking about 21'.
