As hard working as the likes of Gallagher are, they don't have anywhere near enough quality for the amount of the ball they see. 

Jackson is another Morata, Torres type player, they need the ball played in front of them in an open space and something they can run onto; in close quarters they are a total waste and offer nothing.  

 

Another season where we’re midtable I reckon. Until Poch figures out how to bring the best out of our forwards, we won’t get very far. Massive learning curve

That’s the point. Just doesn’t offer enough quality when it matters most.

I'd take £15m for Madueke in January but we only got £5m for CHO who's a better talent.

You're right,  the big problems we've got is we've overpaid by a huge amount for a lot of poor and untalented young players we're not going to recoup anywhere close to what we wasted on them.

But the alternative is what?  Finishing in the bottom half season after season and seeing our few quality players leave.

The reality is a lot of these really poor young players have to be replaced with actual quality so we can compete but we're in a real mess.

Which is why Poch needs to get off his high horse and accept this squad isn’t built for a possession-based style.

Some of the best chelsea teams ever were counter-attacking teams. This team is loaded with pace. Use it.
