Got to laugh at Spurs fans trying to make this result sound like something to be proud of.

As Cato put it in Rome "So this is not a humiliating defeat at all, but a rare species of victory?"

Watching their season go off the rails now will be most amusing.

Totally agree about the Spurs fans. But Cato actually lived in Paris with Inspector Clouseau.

How difficult can it be to keep the ball pass it around and not give away free kicks ?

Will come with experience. Right now they are just kids on sugar rush doing most idiotic things.

f**k me we made hard work of that.

But in a strange way, it’s the sort of thing that might actually build some backbone in this team. They were beginning to sh*t the bed against 9 men but ended up getting it done. All season we have found a way to not do so, so who knows!

Jackson was awful for almost 80min, his 3rd goal was top notch though

The three goals he got were all decent but missing from a yard and then clearing the stand late on :face_palm:. He probably should have got 5 at least.

Agreed. If they just sit deep this ends 1:1 with our record of scoring against packed defences. Maybe they would have even been able to hit us on the counter attack. We didn't have a lot of pace in the back line.

Three point lane is back on again chaps, normal service resumed.

See my prediction thought we would win and actually thought they would see Red, I fancied Son yet happy to be proved wrong.

Jackson's hattrick should have a positive effect on his confidence going forward.

We are not the full ticket at the moment yet wins will build confidence and that helps.

Lets not forget though that due to our brain dead decisions they had two opportunities from set pieces with completely unmarked players at the back post. That is criminal organisation and defending that will be swept under the rug.

We haven't won a top 4 opposition in ages. Let's take that with us. And it was Tottenham at their place. We are much closer to winning the next top four contender now. Maybe not City but who knows.

Positives on top of the win is we controlled the game after 20 minutes. They scored 2-0 which was gladly offside. We were on top after that. They couldn't control their emotions and got punished. We pushed them that hard.

We were a bit impotent against their high line but in the end managed to score 4 and win comfortably. We were never going to win this in a commanding manner. They have been flying and we have been struggling. Hopefully our young lads take all this the right way.

For all the praise Ange has gotten this season, that was some thick management this 2nd half.

I've commented on this already sconnie. Tactically dumb to stick with such a high line having a numerical disadvantage. He also did nothing at all to try and calm his own players down. They were so over aggressive in so many challenges and he just stood there watching it.

Didn't catch much of the first half but why did Enzo go off? Against that high line his long balls are a lethal weapon. And in the 10 minutes I watched of the first half he played two good passes.

Also what about Colwill? Injured or beacause of the yellow card?

Their fans are deluded.

If he shut up shop at 1-1 the best we would have got would have been a draw. Likely a loss on the break. Bank in it

West Ham got away with it!

Come on mate , beating an unbeaten Spurs at their place regardless of the circumstances is just wonderful.

Any win these days is wonderful and I'll gladly take the 3 points, but come on, we struggled against 9 men Spurs with one of their best players not even on the pitch.
