Manchester Utd v Chelsea (PL) Wed 6th December 2023 20:15 GMT

I'm not convinced that Broja has much of a future as a top flight footballer but I'm utterly convinced Jackson doesn't.  So given the lack of other options Broja merits starting for an extended period ahead of Jackson.

Mudryk.  It really isn't worth it anymore. There isn't a quality player lurking in there.

This was worse for me, against Newcastle we played good in the 1st half.

Tonight, our passing was awful, our shooting was awful, our desire was even worse.

We played like a bottom 3 team tonight.

We lost by only 1 goal because of sanchez

Me too mate, me too. Thanks for that Todd.

Same. I have lost the love and excitement for when games come on now. Always expect disappointment and yet again…

I actually feel deflated, a half decent team would of beaten Man Utd tonight.

We made them look good tonight, half of their chances came from us giving the ball to them.

It's not like they won the ball back with amazing pressing.

I’ve probably said this twenty times over the last 16 months but that show tonight was as bad as I have seen from a Chelsea team for very many years.

The biggest question tonight was who was our very worst player there must have dozen very deserving candidates for this accolade!

Despite the utter shambles of this evening and a variety of other very similar shows our highly esteemed Sporting Directors Stewart and Winstanley who are primarily responsible for assembling this pile of utter sh*te rarely get a word said about them???

Not surprised, not even disappointed anymore.

Numb and indifferent.

Well, congrats. You are better than me. I am kinder perversely curious how low can we go.

Just now, just said:

My point is Broja looked more like a proper centre-forward in the short time he was on the pitch than Jackson did all game.

Broja has better first touch, better ball control, more physical presence, better aerial ability, better positioning, looks quicker over the ground.

Why Pochettino won't rest Jackson and use Broja I don't know.

I suspect Broja isn't 100% fit.

If he is I'd certainly give him a run in the team though. Why not ... need to try something different for sure.

Personally I'd play all the big lads. Thought we looked "small" again this evening, and getting bullied in all the duels, losing most of them, misplacing passes as a result.

No way is this side finishing in the top half, not at this rate. We haven't got to stage when teams start scrapping for their lives. This lotvare gutless, no spirit to fight for the shirt. Not on current showings

I don't think that's fair tbh.

I really don't think it's a guts or spirit problem.  Earlier in the season we were topping the distance covered charts and not winning games against the weaker clubs.

The squad just isn't very talented,  we've filled the squad with untalented young deadwood that will never be good enough and the few quality players we have have started to lose faith because the talent isn't around them to compete or challenge for even a Europa league spot.

Our lack of talent is a much bigger issue than a lack of fight.

Mudryk, Jackson and Sanchez can't control basic balls or show any kind of techical ability because they lack fight they simply aren't good footballers and weren't before we signed them

What the f**k do we do in training? That was atrocious

Lets not kid ourselves the chances we missed , we should have conceded 8

Giving the ball away in our own half is infectious, from Keeper to Striker they all do it…usually not under pressure

Enzo and Caceido simply awful , over 200m we’re having a laugh

Upfront no cohesion Jackson tries hard but he isn’t good enough, Mudryk runs fast and Sterling has now retired for the remainder of the season having had his good game

We look broken , we are simply not good enough in all departments

Where is the intensity in our play?

I'm usually positive about Silva because he is a class. Abysmal tonight. Disasi was a complete mess. The much vaunted James looks rubbish. Enzo continues to prove he's bang average. Oh no he's a world cup winner. Yeah so is de Paul and Romero. Caicedo headless. Sterling back to being sh*t and diving everywhere. Jackson proving he is nothing better than league one standard and Mudryk miles off.

Shambolic.

Can somewhat forgive the first half as despite how poor we were we had a threat on the break but that second half was unforgivable.

With how frail that United team are we should have smelt blood at half time but instead surrendered the inactive and turned it into an attack vs defense game, I do actually look for mitigating circumstances in bad results young team and all that but can't defend that second half, pathetic.

I remember the days when I could name who my favourite players are.

Only Silva I would name tbh

Fans should never dislike their team, but I can't stand this lot. Just a bunch of overpaid entitled kids who don't put the effort in. None of them are showing anything to make fans feel like they want to play for Chelsea. They walk around, sulk, don't focus, they look like they don't give a sh*t. They are doing nothing but dragging our club down and they don't show that they care a single bit.

We even went and signed a player I have disliked more than most for the past decade, Sterling. He has returned to his usual sh*t self in recent games. Played one blinder against his former club but has served up stinkers since. Can't believe that we trusted him of all players to lead a group of young players.

I'd given up on this team doing anything a month or so ago. Instead of top 4 I've lowered my sights to hopefully seeing an improvement overall. Right now we are treading water and certain players are not stepping up mentally. I was hoping Mudryk would show something but he doesn't read the game well and made bad decisions tonight. I also think he switches off too quickly after something breaks down. We're stuck with him and have to give him time but I'm really disappointed.

I'm really concerned at how bad James was when he came on. Why is this? Normally he's consistent and top quality. Has Poch rubbed him up the wrong way. We can't afford to mess him around. He's in our best team and Poch needs to be getting the best out of him.

Palmers OK but he did little outside of the goal. The rest of the team were making mistakes all night.

It's a mentality thing that we lack and Poch doesn't seem to be instilling anything along those lines. I think there are some decent players in the team but Poch isn't getting the best out of them.

I'll give him time but I'm starting to question his abilities.

The only time we had some control, passed the ball around nicely and had a plan, Palmer scored that goal. It lasted about 5 minutes.

I don't even know how to describe the other 85 minutes.

Unless we try hard to train Mudryk to hit anywhere but the goal. This trick might work.

Same old story once again.

With this lack of intensity, commitment, and terrible approach we would genuinely struggle against any team in the world. It looks like Pochettino doesn't even prepare them for the game.

Sorry, I don't rate him at all, every single match he passes the ball straight to the opposition.

He makes a good save here and there (like all professional goalkeepers do) but generally cancels that out by gifting the opposition big chances.

He's way too casual on the ball, there's no urgency to start attacks even when we are losing.

If he's our number 1 keeper then we're in big trouble.

That was awful, maybe one of the most disappointing displays I’ve watched from a Chelsea team.
They play out there like it’s a training match, no passion. Maybe a bit shown by Palmer.
why are we insisting on playing out from the back, we get caught time and time again. Our two £100m hero’s in the middle cannot pass the f**king ball. Then we get a chance to go forward and we will turn and play it back to our centre half’s who in turn plays it to the keeper who in turn kicks it to the opposition or out.

There are a lot of Silva fans on here and I know he was a great player but he is dictating our tempo and it is f**king dreadful and I’d like to see him dropped to the bench.

Jackson is pure sh*te, he tries but it’s not there. I don’t care if he has scored a few but most of those were against 9 men who were attacking us.
Nkunku is not going to make a difference to this team, I’m hoping Lavia can add some grit and determination and challenge those waste of space in our midfield.
Sterling needs a good team to shine, unfortunately he has come to the wrong place.

Finally what the f**k is James on!!! Strolls about there like gods gift, f**king shake yourself man, you have the skill set to be great.
The most sad thing for me is that because of me my grandson supports Chelsea. I have seen great days but I don’t know if they can return. I hate to see him hurt!!!

Sean Dyche in the stands must be rubbing his hands and can’t wait to get at is on Saturday. He’ll have his team pumped up to devour these passionless shower of prima Donna’s.

No I agree with you. What I mean is that when we get to the last two months if we are 12th - 14th still when the teams below us start scrapping for their lives I just can't see us matching that. These players have no perception as to how to club together and fight through adversity

Sack the manager, buy and sell players, all of it pointless while Clearlake owns the club.

I don't follow the club in the media as much nowadays, but Bully & Co been very quiet lately ? Wonder why ??

And we seem to have a thing for shushing everyone on the rare occasion we score a goal. Who the feck are we to shush anyone when we are slightly above the relegation zone? Pathetic group of players.
