Lukaku, a striker, holds the record for fewest touches by any player over 90+ minutes in the Premier League.

You're right about George as a striker though, he's not one, so what you should be doing is asking Maresca why he decided to put George into a tough position, against a back 3, change absolutely nothing tactically, and expect George to do anything against it.

You could throw Palmer in there and the result would have been similar. He would have done more just because he has more ability than George, but he would have had to improvise, because Maresca wouldn't have changed anything to help him.

Guy has probably never played striker against 3 Cb's in his life and it showed. Not his fault, the manager should have known better and gone with Neto upfront and him in his normal position on the wing.

Needs a run of games in his best position if he is going to develop properly, and preferably under a different manager !

Maresca threw him under the bus last night, he's never a striker and no wonder he looked like a fish out of water. I've not been overly impressed by him this season but felt a bit sorry for him last night.

Not an easy game for him. Think he has shown growth during the season and if we get a CL spot, he definitely did his part with that Fulham goal.
