Metal studs. I don't really see how the boots are to be blamed for his slips tbh, watching the first one it looked like more how he planted his foot

I agree. Those studs look capable of ploughing a farmers field. I was expecting to see a pair of astroturf trainers in the bin.

At 2-0 once we settled we were able to play passes through their midfield so easily. Lavia Enzo and Caicedo took a grip of the game and once we scored I was very confident of the win.

There was about 6 or 7 instances when we broke onto their last line but either didn’t play the pass early enough or the player with the ball Jackson lost all momentum.

We could have scored 8 today.

Did that for Jim's benefit :laugh2:

Today is why I love football.  Watched the game with my brother and my Godson, @Will M - all Chels. Noticed that the barman was Chels too. Had a chat with him and it turns out he, like me, was born in 1964 and started supporting the Blues after the 1970 FA Cup final, just like me.  I watched that game with my Dad.

After the game today - hugs all round. Excellent family time enoying a shared bond.

To top it all Cole Palmer's audacious finish. A young man who plays on the biggest stage like he's in the street with his mates.

After the final in 1970 I was straight out to the back garden with a voice in my head as I bashed the ball between the jumpers " Osgood shoots, Osgood scooooores"

Tonight there are countless little Cole Palmers dribbling around the sofa.

We've got our Chelsea back.

We’re massive. There’s nothing else to it.

Nice one Liam, you’ve a few years on me, Im born in 63 in Merton my dad Mick was a local boy from Morden started going in 60s. I went Hereford away in 76 and was hooked went home and away a lot the next 4 years until making bands took over my cash flow. I took my brother with me right away even to Upton Park in the chicken run when he was 10 undercover,  he was born in 67. He still supports and goes and so does his boy Jim, when Conte won the EPL had my dad, myself , brother and nephew were all at the match. Dad is 84 now got Parkinson’s can’t go but still watches !

Absolutely buzzing. I'm starting to believe we're in the title race now.

The way we fought back after being 2-0 down was phenomenal. The team showed great character in adversity.

Palmer is ICE COLD! What a player.

The only major blemish of the day was Cucurella slipping over twice which inadvertently led to Spurs scoring twice in the first 10 minutes of the game.

Spurs fans throwing garbage (they've probably gobbed in) onto their own pitch at our players, in front of the football watching world...  can just imagine what their own homes are like

Stunning victory.

Not perfect by any stretch but so many players were on it today Spurs couldn’t live with us.

Despite the early setbacks we played like a top team in a big match.

Played some cracking football at times as well.

Our 3rd goal is well worth another watch - just make sure you take it back to Enzo & Sancho skills on the touchline.

At 2-0 down I could see a massive difference in class and could only believe we were still going to win. After all that has happened over the last 2/3 years I couldn't believe what I was thinking.

But I did.

I didn't know where or how the goal was going to happen but my eyes saw how easy it was for our midfield to open them up and in the end it was a piece of sheer class from Sancho. After that it was just a matter of time.

Scoreline flatters Spuds.

This adds nothing but I’m reading this at 1am as the bus finally gets back to Morden after missing the last tube by minutes…

Up at 6am…
