July 6, 20179 yr The general consensus from around the net is that Morata is 'upset' about the Lukaku offer from United...he was fully expecting to be travelling with their squad to US next week...apparently Madrid and United were only 5m euros apart from an agreed price...United offered 75m euros and Madrid wanted 80m euros...United set a deadline of Thursday morning and when Madrid didn't play ball they move onto Lukaku...well their loss is our gain...reckon we can get this deal with Madrid over the line for around £70m...and done in days... Hopefully this is true. At least we get one of the two this way rather than Morata staying and United out spending us on Lukaku. For that price though I think I'd be more comfortable with the guy we know can score 20 a season here.
July 6, 20179 yr http://www.skysports.com/football/news/15115/10939471/evertons-romelu-lukaku-to-man-utd-big-transfer-deal-explained Explains more about the United transfer and Lukaku actually being their first choice rather than ours.
July 7, 20179 yr Metro reporting we could be in for Benteke, with Llorente another option. If we get both of those two, that is some serious Moneyballing there.

Well, i really do hope this is more media bullsh*t because this is just one big joke if true. Llorente ? Benteke ? These are not players a team like us should be chasing. We are looking to win titles, not battle it out for a top 10 finish.

July 7, 20179 yr We may be going down the Arsenal route, of funding a stadium project and so the board don't want to spend much money, and with the insane prices on everyone's head these days, it could be s truggle to get anyone of any quality.

July 7, 20179 yr Chelsea fans need to get a prospective of things. I am a Football Agent with strong links to the Club both past and present. Chelsea were never in for Lukaku and will not break their transfer record of 50m paid to Liverpool for Fernando Torres this summer. Conte wants Llorente and Belotti and Chelsea are not prepared to enter negotiations for more than 35m for a striker which rules out signing the Torino man. With the new ground on the horizon Conte has been instructed to bring through some of the youth talent at his disposal. Under Roman Abramovitch Chelsea, Torres aside, have not spent over 34m on a player. This will continue for the foreseeable future, Chelsea will not spend inflated transfer fees, like Man Utd, Man City or as recently as Arsenal. Links to players like Morata and Rodriguez are absolute nonsense. The fee is holding up Bakayoko and Rudiger deals, Chelsea are prepared to pay 34m and 28m respectively. Manchester United may move for Bakayoko as Jose Mourinho has a strong desire to bring them back to the top at the expense of Chelsea. A bid of 45m will blow Chelsea out of the water, I understand Utd are only prepared to go to 40m and this could play into Chelsea hands if bonuses etc bring the 34m upward. In my honest opinion, Bakayoko, Llorente and Rudiger are the most likely signings in the next 2 weeks.
July 7, 20179 yr LOL. Roman/Board: "Conte, you gotta bring in youth players into the 1st team. I am closing off the charity". Conte:"Sure. By the way, can you sell Ake, Traore, Chalobah, Musonda, Andreas." Just our best products. Edited July 7, 20179 yr by didierforever

That is utter rot...if he's been informed to bring youth players through then why has Tammy been loaned out to Swansea and Casey Palmer to Huddersfield...and why did we sell Troare to Lyon...I call BS...
