Oh yeah sorry Danny is the answer to our problems up front.

Actually nah I don't believe that and secondly the guys attitude stinks, at least Torres had been trying until recently.

"trying" ::clap2::

Sign me up than I will "try" too

Attitude "stinks" coming from someone who is bigging up Torres, the man who was devastated after we won the CL, needed reassurance needed us not to sign another striker, needed faster tempo, slower tempo, through balls, and all the while didn't give a crap when he was on the bench whether we won or lost.

Saying that Sturridge's attitude stinks after all that is just nonsensical

Well with RDM gone and 'IF' Pep comes in he will be given a whole wack of money for January...if Pep does not come and we have an interim manager we will be stuck with what we have with a possibility of recalling Lukaku to shore up things..

Would you agree or disagree with the opinion that the defence has been the major issue this season. Whenever we have played our strongest attack which in my opinion involves torres we don't look like we are going to struggle to score. Torres may not get the amount of goals you'd hope he would get but when he plays the 3 behind him seem to play well. We look like conceding in every game we play but yet it is our forward who takes the most flack.

I would agree with that. although statistically we aren't exactly breaking records at either: we have the fourth best attack in the league and the fifth best defence.

Would you disagree with the opinion that Torres has been the worst individual in our squad this season? Would you also disagree with the opinion that our attacking prowess this season has pretty much exclusively come from the £60m+ of attacking midfield talent who we have added to our squad? Our full-backs are tactically exposed by an extremely narrow attacking band (which wouldn't be quite as necessary if our centre forward had any kind of presence in the box), and while Luiz makes mistakes it isn't through lack of effort.

Another question (although this is more facetious and not necessarily directly linked to our discussion): would you agree with the opinion that Luiz is a bigger attacking asset than Torres when we are chasing a game?

Where did I big up Torres. If saying at least he was trying is bigging someone up then wow...

Why is it nonsensical, every time I see him on that pitch he looks disinterested, lets see if a new manager sees it differently and see if Danny can play with conviction if he does get another chance. Don't get me wrong nothing would make me happier to see him banging in the goals but just don't see it happening.

Any suspicions that the apparently pending "Benitez appointment" is yet another example of Roman refusing to accept his own failings? I.e. not accepting that the £50 million striker he signed is in fact the biggest dud in football and that Benitez is one last, deparate throw of the dice in a bid to flog some life out of a long dead horse.

At times going forward he could be considered a bigger asset than many on the pitch. The boy has pride and tries to take the play forward when we are slow and tentative. JT used to do this a lot a few years back also when we were struggling.

Luiz is fine going forwards. It is when he has to defend that the wheels fall off.

As a centre-half, if he continues to develop at the rate he is now, he has the potential to be as good as Titus Bramble.

You said at least Torres is "trying"

I'd like to know how Sturridge is supposed to "try" from the bench. The two games he has played from the start he has looked far more interested than Torres. Tell me how hard Torres tried when coming on last night - was it any better than Sturridge substitute appearances so far this season?

But I guess you see what you want.

Roy was fired after Torres didn't want to play for him

Carlo was fired after reverting to Drogba after Torres couldn't score in 14 matches

AVB was fired shortly after comparing Sheva and Kezman to Torres(a comparision which is not favorable to Torres)

RdM drops Torres one game and he sacked after not getting the best out of him even after 1600 minutes on the field and only one game missed.

Coincidence ? I would not be 100% sure, if we hire Rafa to get the best out of Torres for 6 months it becomes pretty obvious what Roman values more - his "star man" or our managers.

LOL

So when JT does the same thing do you berate him. Thought not. Luiz is one of our better defenders.

Cahill and Ivan are the liabilities at the minute not Luiz. Not even going into our midfield and their defending or lack of.

I haven't given up on him yet. He played pretty well last year. The problem this season is that he is more exposed (along with the rest of our defence) and hasn't had the experience and leadership of JT and Frank around him.

I must have been in a coma and dreamt the whole of last year then.

All defenders make mistakes, (indeed, all footballers do), but the ratio at which JT makes defensive mistakes when compared to Luiz tells its own story. Really there is no comparison to be made. One is a genuine world class centre-half, one isn't and never will be.

Cahill of late has not been as solid and reliable as he was at the start of the campaign when he was, IMO, the most consistent defender we had. However, I firmly believe playing alongside Luiz, (when Luiz actually decides he will stay alongside him!), must be like trying to read the game with a loaded gun pointed at you. What will Luiz do next? I don't think even he knows.

This would be the most ridiculous scenario possible..... and yet it is currently looking likely.

The has the potential to be the darkest day in my years of supporting Chelsea.

How can Benitez be given the job under any circumstances, he is hated by our fans with venom, but to try and somehow salvage Torres is past the point of laughable.

Actually its consistent.

1. If space opens up in front of him and no other options are available take the ball forward. Mikel or Rambo fill in.

2. If they charge down the flank and our wingers/fullbacks have gone AWOL as happens a lot he goes out to cover. Mikel/rambo and the rest of the defence shifts. What else is he supposed to do stay put and let them choose a pass and run into space at the goal like Cahil allowed to happen numerous times last night.

Ask yourself why Luiz had to cover the right flank last night when playing Left CB because Cahil and Ivan had just disappeared. Blaming Luiz is just the easy way out and seriously unfair on the lad.

Benitez' association with Torres is going to work against Torres I think, in terms of the fans. Benitez is not wanted and if the fans feel he is here as a result of Torres' presence, then I'm afraid the love affair is well and truly over. It's about identity. Even if Torres somehow miraculously turned into a half-decent player, it will have come at a huge cost, too big a cost in a lot of our eyes, i.e. Rafa Benitez' presence at the club. I've been supporting Chelsea a long time Just, as have you, and it will sicken me to my stomach.

I don't buy Torres has forgotten how to score, if he is looking so dejected, maybe it has something to do with the ongoing spat with Robbie, not starting him both FA an CL finals etc, also the holy trinity weave pretty patterns, and not a lot of end result, iwas listening to a radio show this am, and the reports are Torres is happy, and as fit as he could be, so guys honestly , why now does he resemble a busted flush, when he aint???

Roman has ripped apart our entire club to try and get Torres playing well, and all he can do is bitch and moan and continue to be a waste of space on the pitch. This is a man who as soon as we had achieved the greatest win of our history, came out with a load of bullsh*t because he was upset and not playing more. A man who admitted he didn't care if we won or lost. A man who despite ridiculous amounts of support from the home crowd over 2 years of utterly appalling performances, still finds new ways to disappoint every week.

Honestly couldn't give two sh*ts if he scores 30 goals between now and the end of the season, I want him gone.

Feel free to post your usual "plastic, fake, moron, etc..." comments, but that's how I feel about it right now.
