As good as Hazard's goal was, I'd be hard pressed not to vote for Kompany for goal of the season. A combination of brilliance and meaning.

 

And all because Gondugan, I think it was, decided to pass to Kompany on his right as opposed to the other Citeh player on his left.   Thank God he did that, since I cannot handle the ratmunchers winning the CL or the PL.

Now we have CL football, which Eden requested maybe that's the hook to stay?

To be honest I’m more than happy to take the risk losing him on a free.

It would be nice if he could stay for one more season, and then help us go far in champions league and finish strong in the league, helping us complete the transition.

I think I started giving up hope of Hazard signing a new deal after we failed to make it into the top 4 last season. Even if we had made top 4, it would have been a struggle to keep him after this season. Hazard is not going to want to be part of a club that is in and out of the Champions League like we have been of late. I also always think to myself how long his contract situation has been going on for and what he has and hasn't been saying in interviews. Nothing in the last year has convinced me that he is going to stay, it's actually the opposite, everything that has happened makes me think he is going. If he was going to sign a new contract, it would have happened by now. When you see all of the players that have signed new deals in recent times and Hazard hasn't, it makes you wonder just what is going on there, and the only realistic thing I can think of is that Hazard doesn't want to sign a new deal.

I am so convinced that he is going to go that I will put money on it (and I hate parting with my money )

If he signs a new deal, I'll donate £20 to the forum.

If he leaves, I'll donate £10. That way, at least the Shedend is getting something out of Hazard leaving

If it is true that Hazard is undecided, what is all this media speculation spouted by anyone with a platform to spout??

He's most likely leaving what I don't understand is why the British media is pushing him to go/ want him to go.

The British media I believe have had a lot of hatred towards Chelsea for many years

They are an odd bunch. They seem to do this with every big player in the Premier League. I have no idea why, we need these players in the Premier League.
