Cesc Fabregas

Far too many blue tinted spectacles being wore by certain posters as usual, he's better than anyone we have at CM, would take him in a heartbeat.

I'd have to change my avatar EB! I certainly do not want to do that mate.

The fee that would be needed would be in excess of 30m.

Is he a 30m Euro improvement on the likes of Oscar, van Ginkel or De Bruyne? Not likely.

At the moment he would probably be a better player than De Bruyne and possibly Van Ginkel though I can't give a good opinion of that as I haven't seen him play. Would he be an improvement as far as Oscar is concerned? For the upcoming season probably yes, in the long term mos def no as Oscar will eventually develop into a player much better. I don't think this thread was created for as shall we sign him or not as clearly no. Simply getting the opinion of the general population.

Haha that's fair enough mate! We wouldn't want you to have to do that

£27m? I'd say yes, the guys quality.. Prem proven, unlike both those players you mentioned. He was quality at Arsenal, the fact he played for them and Barcelona certainly shouldn't be coming in to it the way it is for some people on here mate.

Trying to build a team or an All Stars, overpaid and over-hyped line-up ?

With the addition of a quality DM our midfield would be the best in England and people still keep wanting every shiny midfielder that's on sale.

BARCELONA are prepared to sell Cesc Fabregas for about £40m and believe they can secure a Premier League buyer for the Spain midfielder at that price. Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal have all been offered the player.

His c**tish nature and Arse past aside, he'd be a great fit for us.

He'll count as a homegrown. He's stronger and more all-around than Mata, but has the same creative skill set, can play both as a box-to-box next to Matic or more advanced in Oscar's position. And he's in his prime.

If he came back to England can't see it being to us. Arsenal or City would get him.

Supposedly he didn't leave on very good terms so he may not be too fond of the idea of going back to Arse.

City don't really need him and have FFP to think about.

Can't see it.

He might not have left on the best terms but he still obviously respects Arsenal and going to us wouldn't be popular.

Arsenal or no one if it's England.

An excellent player. As mentioned before, Premier League experience, creativity and passing, enough defensive capability to play as a centre mid in a Jose Mourinho side. He ticks all the boxes for me. I'd be delighted if we had side with him and Matic holding.

Also, I don't care what teams any of our players have previously played for. It's all about what they do for us.

I agree

Ya know I'm not sure he's heading back to Arsenal, I don't think there's a place for him in the team

Of course there's a place for a player of Fabregas ability, he would walk into most teams.

lol at people thinking there's a chance of this happening, when he has said he doesn't like Mourinho or his style of football, numerous times. If he's going to come to EPL, it will be to United or back to Arsenal.
