June 23, 20188 yr I'd sale him for 60M to United. Sure he's a very good player, but he won't get to the next level, United will buy a good player in that position, may as well be him than someone who's better or younger. The critical thing is how we will spend that money, not on 2 average players for god sake.

June 23, 20188 yr I’ve not watched any Brazil games but apparently he’s got a bit of stick for his performances, especially the last game against Peru?

Yeah, he's been poor. Basically it's the Willian we see play for us. We know he can be great, but it doesn't happen often enough.
June 25, 20188 yr If £60m seemed unlikely before a ball was kicked in the world cup, based on Willians performances in the two games so far, we'll do well to get half of that. But then this is Moneybags Utd we're talking about so lets fleece the f**kers!! Edited June 25, 20188 yr by Nibs

June 27, 20188 yr Willian proving yet again today why we should try and get a deal done with Man United ASAP.
June 29, 20188 yr We've just turned down a 50m offer from Barcelona for Willian. I'd have taken the money, tbh.

June 29, 20188 yr Rumours persisting about a possible transfer for Willian. If we were able to get £50m for him that's good business for a 29 year old with an indifferent scoring record in more opinion. We're said to be looking to recruit a new winger this summer, so could be that Pedro and Willian both leave which would see an interesting overhaul of our attacking options... Maybe opens up more opportunities for RLC and Barkley to get game time.
June 29, 20188 yr Cannot be true. 50mill for a soon to be 30 player and to a none pl team? Saying no would be more silly than all the manager bs going on.

Especially if it was to Barcelona over a rival. If it came to selling to United for £60m or Barcelona for £50m, i would rather we miss out on the extra £10m than have him go to United. I would only be in favour of selling Willian if we can get two replacements though. I don't think we'll get anymore out of Pedro, so i think he will need to be replaced too.

June 30, 20188 yr If i'm being honest their are only 9 players in the whole squad who i would be happy to see play for us again next season, Willian is on that list.
June 30, 20188 yr Maybe we are waiting for the new manager to have a say about the squad before selling, let's hope we get the manager situation sorted before the WC ends.
June 30, 20188 yr It's not ridiculing anyone comments, everyone keeps saying he's not good enough or we should sell him yet he's been one of our most consistent players since he's join gives his all every match. His flick's and tricks may not come off all the time but when he's on form few can touch him.He lost his mom who he was obviously close with which did affect his performance somewhat but still gave it [emoji817]%Selling him will be a mistake as he's one of the few who always stands up when sh*t hits the fan at CFC which happens every other season.
June 30, 20188 yr Has a poor tournament until now. But I also would like to see him with us next season, he is a good player to our squad.

I don't know how anybody can say Willian is consistent, he's the perfect example of a player that has the ability but doesn't show it enough. Stats aren't everything, but for a winger playing in a team competing for the biggest titles, he should be scoring and assisting more often than he has. He's been here for 5 years, he only has 25 league goals for us, that is an average of 5 league goals a season. This is a poor return for so called top player. This is acceptable at a mid table side, but not a team looking to win league titles. The best we have seen of Willian was between December and February of last season, but that Willian doesn't turn up enough. He started last season awful and had a bright spark in the middle of it before being mediocre again. Too often Willian will have games where his end product is really poor and his passing is over hit or miss placed. He rightly got praised for that period between December and February, even i was saying that was the best i had seen of Willian with us, but it didn't last and it never does with him. I would go as far as to say that with or without Willian, we would still have won each of the 4 trophies we have won since he joined, i don't think he has been as important to our success as the likes of Hazard, Costa, Azpilicueta, Cahill, Fabregas, Pedro, Kante and others over the last 5 years. His best season with us was the 2016/17 season, and he was used as a squad player, that for me is the only way you will see the best of Willian. He's too inconsistent in attack to be relied on over a full season. Also, his childishness just after we won the F.A cup has left me feeling a bit cold towards him. Instead of just being a professional and enjoying the moment, he acts like a child. This isn't standing up when sh*t hit's the fan, this is making things more hostile at the club. Instead of making childish digs at the manager, he should be trying to bring the team together so we can be successful on the pitch.

Looking at his dissenting attitude post FA Cup win he might be a contributing factor to the sh*t hitting the fan. His goal and assist record during his spell at Chelsea is average. For every quality performance he puts in you’ll likely get two that aren’t. Personally I’m of the opinion that if we could sell him for £50m we could find a replacement who would have a better overall contribution to our attacking play.
June 30, 20188 yr Puts in a handful of good performances a season and is frustrating most of the rest of the time. Better than Pedro, but then I'd sell both if the money was right.
