It's not ridiculing anyone comments, everyone keeps saying he's not good enough or we should sell him yet he's been one of our most consistent players since he's join gives his all every match. His flick's and tricks may not come off all the time but when he's on form few can touch him.

He lost his mom who he was obviously close with which did affect his performance somewhat but still gave it emoji817.png%

Selling him will be a mistake as he's one of the few who always stands up when sh*t hits the fan at CFC which happens every other season.

Incredibly inconsistent since joining and only offers a 10/10 performance maybe twice a season. See him throw his arms up and moan and strop about every game too.

It's all well and good getting £60 odd million but we need to bring in someone as good or better and our recent history isn't that encouraging.

Who could we realistically get in that position who will do a better job?

It’s a risk I’d be willing to take.

James Rodriguez is probably on the move this summer, worth trying for him surely?

Been linked with Leon Bailey, Christian Pulisic and Zaha this summer so far.

And we could probably get 2 of those 4 for the money we get from selling Willian, Drinkwater, Kenedy and Zappacosta.

I think I would be up for selling Willian as long as the money is spent wisely.

Hes what, 29/30 years old? A lot of money for a player approaching his 30s.

Rodriguez has gone from being the next big thing to an almost forgotten about player in terms of being a top player. I want us to go for hungry players on the way up or at their peak, not ones  in decline or 30 something's looking for their last big move.

James is a world class player what are you on about? He's 26, entering the best years 27-29 for his position, if he wasn't injured England would have lost to Colombia. He had 7 goals and 11 assists in 23 games for Bayern last season and was among the best players of the Champions league as well, he isn't declining.

James is barely reaching his peak, why would he suddenly be declining?

Scoring rate of almost 1 every 3 games and direct contribution to 18 goals in 23 games isn't what I would call in decline... In fact, it's exactly the sort of upgrade on Willian I would hope for.

:biggrin::biggrin:  @ForeverCarefree  Are you seriously putting Willian and Zaha in the same category?  What about SWP again instead, or Theo Walcott?

Leon Bailey would be an upgrade IMHO, significantly younger and higher potential ceiling. Rodriguez would be another great signing.

Pulisic would be an interesting one as well, if we could get him.

Not as thrilled at the thought of Zaha though!!

Wasn't saying those are the players I want, just who I have seen us linked with so far this summer.

In fairness to Zaha though, he had a good season. 9 goals and 3 assists for a Palace side that struggled for large periods.

He's playing in what has becone a weak, one team league. Easy to look at stats in a one tram league. No doubt I could drag up some impressive stats for a Celtic player. He failed in Spain.

28 goals and 27 assists (55 goals directly contributed to in total) in 77 league appearances for Real is failing?

Comparing the strength of the Bundesliga to the Scottish Premier League is frankly ridiculous.

So was Kroos then he came to Real and won 3 CL titles. James became surplus to requirements only because Zidane wanted a balanced team and he couldn't put him on the wings because he had to appease Ronaldo and Bale. I wish Willain had James' output.

Really guys? You satisfied with 60? Have you missed Barcelona's latest transfers - Coutinho - 150, Dembele 100... Willian is not worse than these fellas.

What an astonishing statement. Are you his agent?

We already have a player in that position who is a better fit for Sarri and in my opinion, a better player at his best.

If we can get decent money for him and bring in someone younger (like Bailey), and bring through Hudson-Odoi with more minutes, I think 4 from: Hazard, Bailey, Pedro, Hudson-Odoi) should be good enough.

I like James but I don't think he would be a good fit at right wing under sarri. He doesn't have enough pace, and if hazard is coming inside on the left, and James is coming inside on the right, we might struggle to get width.

Maybe he could play in the midfield 3, but we are heavily linked golovin.

If conte stays however, I think James would be a great signing for the 343.

Messi's the main man and everyone else runs for him. Hazard going there would improve them immensely but having 2 world class attacker that won't be tracking back can be detrimental to the Barca setup especially with no Iniesta and Busquets getting older.

Plus Willian could be like an Arda Turan signing. A decent cover until Dembele develops/improve or they find the next big thing.

But they wanted Griezmann
