Diego "the guv'nor" Costa

Featured Replies

He has got to go. I am convinced his move in the summer is already sewn up and that is why he has this "can't be arsed" attitude. £90m from Tianjian? I'd sell him for £40m right now, liability.   Batshuayi needs a run from now until season end IMO, if he can't even get that, then he should be sold or loaned away, too.   Can't keep buying players and not using them because we have favourites, just cant.

I was watching some highlights of yesterday's game and saw Lukaku take one touch, pass it wide and sprint into the box. Simple but effective and I thought yeah I like the look of that.

Playing Costa is like having 10 men. I honestly think having anyone on the pitch would be more effective atm.

I have said it before, and over and over, he can score goals but he is a woeful footballer.  And a striker has to have some kind of ability at controlling the ball, getting past people, holding the ball up and linking play.  Drogba was elite at it, and we need someone who can offer that in the summer.  Would i take Morata and Lukaku? Absolutely.

Let him rot on the bench for the rest of the season. Even Conte could tell today that he was utter horse sh*t. I was amazed that Michy got some minutes!

Spurs have a difficult few fixtures coming up so I am sure they will drop points.

We are effectively playing without a striker at the moment so playing Batshuayi or Pedro/Hazard/Willian instead can't be any worse. Fully agree with what most have said about Costa's footballing ability and have never been a fan. But you could excuse all that as long as he was getting on the score sheet. As he doesn't even look like scoring at the moment I would definitely sell to the highest bidder at the end of the season.

I don't want people to bite my head off but with the way Conte has treated Batman which is pretty dam bad his confidence is absolutely shot. 20 seconds if your lucky and the majority of the time never coming on. Surely Conte can spend a good week with him, get his confidence up and he can't do any worse than Costa.

You are not alone, A lot of people are a bit perplexed with the lack of playing time for Michy and even the absence of Nathan Ake especially after putting an amazing shift for Bournemouth.

Probably the wrong place to discuss it but it is abit of mystery. A couple of games ago when Moses was out I put the question on the forum does Conte only really trust the first 11 and a few others like Fab, Willian etc. I honestly think he does.

Batman hasn't had a look in, Ake was playing his best football of the season at Bournemouth and we recalled him to not play, Chaloboah was around at the beginning of the season then disappeared and now RLC has taken over the 10mins at the end of a match.

The other thing about Ake is he would of been playing against our rivals and strengthening Bournemouth. I really like him as a player.

Couldn't be more dissapointed in how he's played since January. Prime Drogba for the first half of the year, Torres from 2011 with anger issues for the rest of it. I'd bench him for Spurs, Michy can't be any worse and we can try him out in a game that won't affect the League table

Nothing new with his performances post-Xmas; he has been like that since his first season here.

Sell him to China and let him be their problem. After the way he's acted i wouldn't sell him back to Atletico just out of spite unless we were getting something out of the deal like a discounted Griezmann. Why give him his dream move if he can't even try in the business end of the season.

Was very disappointed in his 'performance' yesterday.

I'd love him to 'turn up' against Spuds this weekend and play the way we know he can.

But he won't

He knew that sneaky Argie sh*thead Rojo was going to wind up, and he didn't disappoint, i mentioned a while ago, he doesn't seem to score more than 1 a game, his lack of goals since Xmas has been alarming!!, but Michy must be useless in training?

The piece of sh*t is on 1/4 million pound a week, doesn't give a sh*t about Chelsea why the f**k are people still making pathetic excuses for him. I've followed this club for nearly 50 yrs and never seen such a disrespectful c**t. He's an embarrassing arsehole.

It's his faux hardman act that really gets me. And then next minute he is rolling around clutching his face when he's hardly been touched. It would be funny if someone actually did nut him I bet he would drop like a sack of spanners.

And for someone his size he is absolutely garbage in the air. Can't time a leap to save his life.

And to think I was one of those arguing for us to buy him from Atletico. What was I thinking? I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize for my mistake. Still, at least I wasn't comparing him to Drogba earlier in the season just because he was scoring goals. Drogba has squeezed out dumps that are more talented than Costa.

Let's not forget that we are here challenging for the league thanks in part to his performances and goals before January, I think Conte has to shoulder some blame for persisting with him just like how Jose was persisting with Ivan when out of form.

Maybe it isn't even Conte's fault and to do with some background politics? If we drop him he will lose value for example..

Michy has to play now, it's do or die in these final few games, we will be turning this 'easy run in' to a bloody difficult one with Costa.
