Good game by him. At the beginning, he had few errors with tackles but after 10 minutes he was involved nicely in the game, his shot showed that he started to gain some experience and confidence. 

 

He's quick and good on the ball. He still has a lot to learn defensively, but many fullbacks do at his age. I wish he would get more game time here, we are better playing with 2 proper fullbacks.

If JT is out PSG game it is Azpi-Gazza-Branna-Baba.

i think he grew into the game and in the last 15 mins wasn't so hesistant to put in tackles and get involved more. he does need games because he has to adapt to the league and pace of the game. we can't expect him to make short cameo appearances and put in motm performances.

I like him, sometimes gets caught out but has the pace to recover,really hope he gets a real chance to evolve

Mainly down to looking defensively suspect in the games he did play in.

Surprised people are so positive about Baba. He looks very dangerous going forward and has got a great cross, things I knew of him from watching those Youtube videos even before he joined. But he looks very poor defensively, can't tackle for sh*t and is seemingly getting outmuscled for the ball quite easily. MK Dons and Newcastle were easy to shine against because of how poor both clubs performed and they both barely presented any threat to our back four, but I'd be very concerned about his defensive shortcomings against a more serious opposition that could apply real pressure.

The best thing about Baba playing left back is Dave playing RB, Dave whipped in some great crosses first time yesterday, all of a sudden we are instantly stronger on the right hand side...

Looks good, has potential but as of yet I've yet to see anything that suggests he'll be better than Nathan Ake.

After watching his little cameo, I could see why Managers were reluctant to play him regular due to his defensive liability. He get beaten quite a few times by wingers cutting inside, and plenty of teams have players who could do better than Townsend. I think he has a future here due to his attacking ability, just don't see him get regular games anytime soon.

Good test for him, if JT is going to miss, then Baba is going to work hard and will have to prove himself that he can play at the high level. I believe in him, he need more confidence and more experience that's all.

He cant be a top class defender like A.Cole, Marcelo or F.Luis but he has the potential to be the next Gareth Bale.

He's only in his early 20's.

Of course he can improve and become a very good LB both offensively and defensively.

He will need games to improve though

 i don't expect him to be perfect both offensively and defensively at his age, it will come with time. considering ivanovic who, at 10 years older and been in the game a lot longer, continues to make defensive mistakes and shows frailties at rb, i certainly don't think baba should be receiving so much criticism in the few cameo appearances he's made, albeit in a brand new league too.

Thankfully for him Aurier is out. Marquinhos and der Wiel are good defenders, but won't worry ofensively. Di Maria + Aurier has been deadly this season.
