He is but you should not have a go at the board you supposedly want to work for. In private sure go nuts but not in public.

I also find it hard to believe every single one of those players are not ones he wanted.

Now am pretty sure he talked up morata and wanting to work with him.

Also I did not know us to target players from the Italian league so much before he came here.

So who would these two or three be? Surely he got 1 for 1 as he wanted rid of Costa and wanted morata right? Ok 1 for 1.

We hear he did not want matic sold? Ok let's assume that is so and say naughty board for going above his head. How dare Roman do that right?

Who are the other 2 players he wanted. Sandro? Alright I can accept that. But come on would juve really lose him, bonnuci and alves in the same window? Be realistic.

So who else was in he wanted that we could get?

Am not saying I am happy with our dealings either but as a fan I can express that on here without making a war with our clubs board. He cannot do that.

But sure I think virtually all our summer signings will prove wastes of money bar rudiger who I think is a good squad addition. Even morata will go at a loss I think cause he is not suited to our league.

Seen a different season to me, last month has seen a real tactician at work, Wenger who doesn't know tactics if they slap him in the face has even out done Conte :laugh2:

Two ludicrous deflections is hardly the managers fault. But in any case this is becoming like Arsenal Fan TV in here so I'm going to bow out.

Forgetting Conte couldn't set up a team to beat an injury hit Arsenal team at home.

He gets asked about it. Every press conference. And he gives the same answer, every time.

With a dour can't be arsed demeaour. He slouches about talking ahout how we need to know our level...we can't compete for this or that...dont have the players.. squad and he's doing an excellnt job.

I agree with conte's latest comments about bring in 2 or 3 big signings in the future, rather than the scattergun approach we've seen in the last 4 windows.

We have the numbers now, the average age of the squad has fallen, and although I don't have the numbers, you would think the wage bill has improved aswell, given the lower profile of alot of the new players.

So whether you agree with the way we have gone about it or not, we have totally transitioned from the squad that failed so spectacularly in Mourinho's final season, with only Courtois, Azpiliucueta, hazard, willian, Fabregas, cahill and pedro, suriving from that squad only 2 seasons ago. That number may well be lower again next season, with 5 out of those 7, entering the latter part of their contract.

To put that transition into perspective, when roman bought the club, which is widely regarded as the biggest transition in our history, 6 players survived the transition over the first 4 windows. Lampard, Terry, Cudicini, Gallas, gudjohnsen, and Huth.

It's been a massive transition for us, hopefully the chopping and changing is done with, and we can start making the sort of signings that can improve the team.

Whether conte is at the helm for it depends solely on him, he needs to stop rising to the media, toe the party line and start getting things right again on the pitch.

I don't buy that he is trying to get sacked, I just think he is incredibly frustrated that he is struggling to compete on and off the pitch. He's a typical fiery Italian, but if he is going to get another season here, he needs to channel that passion positively until the end of the season.

No manager is perfect......but Jesus talk about throwing Conte to the Wind ha. So this is the best some of you can do for a manager so handicaped? A World class manager that won the title just last season.....and convincingly? He is doing his best with what he has....he is under immense pressure from the board, the media and all the Chels haters......but also us? Really? I admit he done some f**k ups but you cant name me one manager WHO would be doing any better.....not one. If our Club would just back him with 2-3 quality players all will change.......2-3 caliber players will revitalize the Whole team and Conte gaining more experience and more willing to change tactics, and we will fight on. Lets say he is done for, what then? We must stop this sh*t now with hiring and getting rid......the only reason it worked for us before was cuz we had so many leaders and good players at the time.....we dont have that now.

I think you are confused. People dont want to axe Conte because hes a bad manager. People want to axe Conte because he doesn't want to be our manager.

There is no chance he will sign a fresh contract, he moans every week about the board, he moans about transfers and lies to the press by saying he has no influence.

Its not about if we get rid of him, its about whether we get rid of him now or in the Summer, because he is leaving.

The club would love to back him with 2-3 quality players. We don't have the funds. We've bought one of the best strikers in the world in Morata, a very promising midfielder in Bakayoko and 4 squad players. Outside of that? Who should we be buying? Remember that if City / United are in for anyone, the player would rather go there and we wont be able to afford them.

According to reports it is conte and not Chelsea who chose the length of his new deal. He did not want to commit to longer at the club so you can understand the club  being hesitant to back him with vastly expensive players we would get lumbered with.

all that being said they still got him morata.

But why even get to this situation? We do it time after time......at what point is it the Clubs fault? Wht would any manager leave a good Club? Especially after success? No manager is perfect but man our Club aint either.

Wants a vote of confidence....

Antonio Conte says he is giving "all of himself" to Chelsea and has asked the club to reciprocate with a public vote of confidence.

The Blues boss won the Premier League title in his first season in charge at Chelsea but has come under scrutiny this season amid his side's poor form.

Conte has 18 months remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge.

"I'd like to have a statement to support against this speculation," said the 48-year-old Italian.

"Maybe I'd like that the club prepare a statement to tell the media, 'I trust in his job, I trust in his work'."

Chelsea travel to Watford on Monday, 19 points adrift of Premier League leaders Manchester City following their 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Wednesday.

They face a fight to secure a top-four finish while their only hope of silverware this season is in the Champions League and FA Cup.

But despite the rumours surrounding his future at the club, Conte says he is open to contract extension talks.

"I'm giving all of myself for this club," he said.

"I think that we are doing the maximum for this club and if the club understands this and the club wants to extend a new contract then we can talk, why not?"

If Antonio is sacked I think the club might struggle when managers know they probably won’t get the players they want. Even people on here are moaning when certain players play that were bought by the club, so what do you expect the manager to do?

Hmm wants dreaded vote of confidence and contract extension...so larger payoff? Lol.

Would be smart of the club imo to give this actually. Vote of confidence, new deal on same terms with a 1 or 2 year extension with a sack clause that entitles him to only 1 year of salary payoff if sacked. Obviously latter part kept silent.

Totally agree, he needs to focus on his job and shut up his mouth... Already he needs to know why all his players have hamstring injury for start.....

He definitely needs to concentrate on winning football matches rather than complaining.

He might even surprise himself on the difference it can make.

This owner and Board want instant gratification they don't want to build a future with the youngsters...well they say they do but only if it comes with instant gratification and success and if that doesn't work, we'll have a good old moan

The same could be said about a lot of our supporters, though.
