September 17, 20178 yr 4 red cards in 7 games so far this season =/ Edited September 17, 20178 yr by DidierDrogbalala
September 17, 20178 yr Good result for Chelsea considering how poor we played. That was a very lethargic performance. What worries me is the fact that I dont know if we had a one off bad game cos of many players not concentrating enough or if the midweek Champions League game made the players tired. Also i am not a fan of us using the strategy of having Tibo kick the ball all the way to the mid-left hoping Alonso can pick it up. Also, I hope Moratta learns that he cant keep falling down too often and hope to get a foul (even if he is pushed down). He needs to toughen it up - get up and chase the ball.
September 17, 20178 yr Hugely disappointed. We can blame the ref who did make some horrendous decisions, or just accept we were poor in the final third and the gooners did a good job of nullifying us. Luiz was an idiot for such a reckless challenge, but frustration gets the better of us at times. The whole short corner thing never worked after Fab slipped in the first time. Hopefully Morata will soon adapt to the physicality and lack of time on the ball as he looked well off the pace today. I wanted to see the likes of Luiz drive forward more as the gooners would regroup and we would try to pass through them. When Luiz took the invective, it pulled there midfield apart and actually gave us space.

September 17, 20178 yr i think 1st half conte got it wrong we should never have Kante along with fabregas in midfield. I had a bad feeling before the game so Will take the draw... luiz is made a stupid tackle

It’s baffling. Mane destroyed a players face, an overhead kick can’t do that.
September 17, 20178 yr can't believe anyone can defend the Luiz red card. If that was the other way round, everyone would have wanted a red. Also what on earth was Luiz even going into a challenge like that already on a booking. Not the end of the world. Need to do a bit more in these big games in my opinion.
September 17, 20178 yr Conte messed this match up, that's 100% sure. First of all - Willian and Pedro together on the pitch - the worst idea. At least he realised that wrong move and changed it in HT, but was too late. Bakayoko was potential man of the match. This guy is the Real Deal. Secondly - all these missed opportunities to put the pressure. We f***ed up every singal free throw, direct and indirect free kick with these passes around despite crossing. Really disgusting. Last but not least - Hazard for Willian showed lack of ambition. Let them play together, let them with Morata, these are ours three best players, but noooo... let keep Cesc and play for the point. He was scared AF. Too much respect for le Arse from Conte. Not happy about this. 5 years domination ended because of the coach. Di Matteo, Hidink and Benitez won this one without any hesitation and doubts. We got the formula and the Italian changed the tactics. When it's dumb decision I'll tell its dumb decision, sorry. Not a disrespect for what he's done last year, but against le Arse, he is just taking wrong decisions and costs us the matches.

September 17, 20178 yr I agree, conte got it wrong first half with the choice of personel and formation. However, arsenal played well and deserve some credit. 3rd in the table after 5 games so we're still in a very good position after so few games. It sucks that drinkwater won't be available until october though, we could use someone else rather than only having bakayoko as back up.

Far from embarrasing agreed with you on this - more shots - more shots on goal - more possession & zero goals - I think people are bitter because the streak of wins at home versus le arse has ended - I hate to say it, but le arse were more physical in this match - I think that surprised CFC a bit - also I saw a post that CFC lost a bit of swagger when Baka came on - I have to disagree - CFC were going more forward - one last thing, did le arse get a shot in the 2nd half? I don't think so - offside shots don't count Edited September 17, 20178 yr by robdog
September 17, 20178 yr Under the rules Luiz's sending off was a correct decision all day long, it was a brainless tackle and his own fault
September 17, 20178 yr Just now, benjsross said: It’s baffling. Mane destroyed a players face, an overhead kick can’t do that. Its stupid. The rules are changing year on year, next year you won't even be able to overhead kick. I remember times when you could overhead kick and it not even be debated about being dangerous.
September 17, 20178 yr Cahill just adds so much shakiness and panic to the back 3. Did anyone see when he tried to backheel the ball to Alonso, then just utterly panicked and smashed it out of play?
September 17, 20178 yr That is a shocking result. Liverpool put 4 past them and we could not get even 1 at home?!! Shocking. Arsenal are a weak weak team and at home we should be beating them. Not good enough.
September 17, 20178 yr Here's how I think events played out: - Moses "Hey you guys, watch this!" *Dives *Red Card Pedro "That was crap, if you were going to get sent off, might as well have been for something better" Moses "Like what?" Pedro "Maybe this?" *Tackles *Red Card Cahill "You guys are so immature, THIS is how you tackle" *Tackles *Red Card Fabregas "Hahaha great decision" *Claps *Red Card Conte "I think we've finally managed to put this Red Card epidemic behind us Luiz "Hold my beer"
September 17, 20178 yr Credit to Arsenal for really turning up. Good match up, disappointing result. Bakayoko changed the dynamic entirely in the 2nd half. The plus side of all these reds is that the likes of Christensen and Rudiger get great opportunities to establish themselves. The was very poor though. Not for the red but for extremely poor decisions otherwise.
September 17, 20178 yr Same old sh*t. Inconsistent refereeing throughout the match, our boys booked for fk all, countless fouls by our opponents not handled correctly nor carded as they should be, and as we finally get on the up the game is again ruined leaving us hanging on. How Kolsinac, Mustafi, Bellerin were not carded much earlier in the game is beyond me. One chance to send off a Chelsea player and it'll be taken, and only then will proper disciplinary action be taken against our opponents. Just tired of it all. Luiz red is about right... but watch the same or worse offence on our guys get waved on without a booking. We've seen this 3/4 times this season already after Cahill's red - not a peep by anyone in the media... then you see the outrage all week over a 100% Mane red. Bad performance or not, this is the type of sh*t no other top team has to deal with. Just as we were looking lively with the team we wanted to see and know could've won the match. More minutes for Cahill now. Worst outcome possible bar a loss, though it feels like one.
September 17, 20178 yr I don't think this was a bad result. Of course, it's always nice to beat arsenal at home but I think they actually played well today. On a side note, I think Arsene Wenger may have "found out" Conte's tactics since the FA cup game, it might be time to start switching things up against them.
September 17, 20178 yr I agree about cahill, how he regains his place after such a solid defensive showing since his absence. If he wasn't captain he would be dropped no doubt. I think conte is being too loyal to him. His lack of pace doesn't help alonso either because it makes alonso more susceptible to pacey wingers like we saw today with him being targeted too often by bellerin.
September 17, 20178 yr It's unbelievable that you give credit to these sc*ms. The Losers will receive at least 4 goals against City, the same ammount they did only 2 weeks ago against another weak side - Liverpool. Just face the reality. Conte does now want to use the formula we've got to beat Arsenal. He wants to beat them on his way and this is why we struggle against them. I really thought his Ego was not that big as Joses and Pep's, but i was wrong.
