Only 1 game. It wasn't violent conduct so James will be back against Spurs.

Normally true though reports are Anthony Taylor's official reason for his dismissal was his "punch like swing at a defenseless ball" so equal to violent conduct...

Did anyone else noticed how Tuchel was screaming at him from the touchline? He seems to have very little room for errors for Tuchel.

He is struggling at wingback, not suprised Tuchel was screaming at him since his positioning was way off. He didn't improve much when he was move into Havertz position either. He might get another chance against Aston Villa in the cup, but for Zenit I believe it will be Reece and Tottenham Azpilicueta.

Definitely needs more end product.  So much potential, but starting to worry we'll be looking at him like RLC.  Not helped by rotation and positional change; his best position is on the wing.

Posted this in match day thread.  Chelsea training clips show a world class player who has everything in his locker.  To use a golfing analogy though, I'm concerned he might be a driving range pro.

I’m hopeful he can come good. He needs a run og]f games so he can relax a bit and let his talent come through. Trouble is pretty hard to get a run of games. I’d like to see him start again v zenit

I understand that wingback isn't his preferred role but he continues to looks distinctly average whenever he's being given minutes at the moment.

Keep dribbling down blind alleys and giving the ball away.

Think he needs a game further up field but not exactly playing his way into the team right now.

This will probably sound harsh but Pulisic has nothing to worry about playing time once he is fit.

Even if CHO was banging them in from right wing back, it's not Pulisic's position at all. Pulisic will have to first stay injury free for more than 5 minutes, then he'll have to wait for Tuchel to change formation, or get his crowbar out.

Never mind wing back, the thing that concerns me is that he seems so far down the pecking order in his "preferred position" on the left.

Right now, we'd probably see more attacking threat from Charly bloody Musonda LOL

CHO played in the 2017 England-U17 world cup winning team, and I think he was a better player then than he is now. He simply hasn't developed any side of his game, particularly mentally ... in 4 years !!!

CHO doesn't have the shooting technique (or the general technical ability with his feet) to develop into an elite (goalscoring) winger. His shooting technique/ability is truly shocking. And his passing technique is mediocre although he does cross well.

Been saying this for years.

People said the same thing about sterling when city paid 50 million for him. His shooting technique can be taught. He just needs to be playing and not wasting on the bench. In hindsight he should have just gone on loan like the other academy boys instead of being a money hungry teenager

How is he “money hungry” though? We need to stop using his wages as a basis to criticise him. Fault lies solely with the club for valuing him highly, and not knowing how to develop the talent.

The sooner he is out of the club, the better it is for both parties.

The only reason we paid him that much money was because he was flirting with Bayern and put in a transfer request. His career would have been different if he went the Mount, James , Christensen route of going on loan to further their careers instead of looking for the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

No idea why Tuchel blocked his loan to Dortmund, he would have flourished there. He's our 3rd choice RWB and our 5th choice winger, we're ruining his potential at this rate.

Just because he earns high wages doesn't mean he can't go out on loan. And his loan to Dortmund got blocked by Tuchel, that's hardly his fault

It makes it harder for him to go on loan because most teams wont be able to afford his wages and we would have to pay a percentage of it. If we had bought Kounde i am sure Tuchel would have let him go.  We are only 2 injuries in defence away from full crisis mode

Dortmund, Leicester & even Bayern tried buying him in the window, but we rejected their offers. There is a disconnect somewhere; the board either value him higher than the manager does, or they are scared of a club with a plan unlocking his talent.
How does Kounde’s acquisition affect him though? Two different positions that should have no bearing on whether we keep or sell him.

Koundes transfer affects him because if we bought Kounde we could have pushed Azpi into wingback to make up for the loss of ODOI but without Kounde if James and Azpi get injured then CHO is next man up
