Callum Hudson-Odoi

Really glad he has played 3 full games, and you can see a remarkable improvement as his confidence returns. We need to remember he is only going to be 21 in a few day, and has lost 1-2 solid seasons of football due to injury, and riding the bench.
He needs to keep working hard, and improve his shooting. I feel we are still scratching the surface with his true potential.

This is an example of what Callum can do when he plays direct his ceiling is as high as he wants it to be. He has the pace, technique and confidence to be a real top quality player once he matures. Until then he can still be a vital player to any squad in the world if he learns consistency.

My only issue with Callum is exactly what he did here he can do at wingback. He can get down the byline take his player on for pace and ping in a ball on the money.

He has great creative ability I want to see it wherever he plays, saying he can only do this in an inside role is just lazy and an excuse for him to not apply himself in an attacking sense as much as his defensive responsibilities in the wb role. Just look at how Chilly, Alonso and James attack as WB.

Thought we were a poorer team once he went off, surprised with the change to be honest. The more minutes he get the better he is, he's proving his worth finally, expect to start again this weekend even if Pullisic is fully fit.

Really showing that he's ready to make the step up. I thought his lack of shooting technique and finishing ability will stop him from reaching any heights. But he's showing that his close control and short passing, as well as movement and positioning are top class.

Long may this continue!

What a squad we have at the moment.

Southgate going after a bloke who has only started recovering his form and doesn’t want to risk plying in meaningless u21 games. He is protective of a 20 year old who broke curfew and rejected a call up but going after a soft target in CHO.. this is not club football even lee catermole turned up for under 21s

Maybe CHO is going to change his country to Ghana and GS is not happy.

Could be - but then he should be showing him more love than chastising.. also he has already played for england can he still do it?

Wasteful today, should have left one to Reece and we'd be all screaming golazo

Not making excuses for him (he is a highly paid professional) but he does better on the left because he can cut inside on his stronger foot.

Yeah. Not a fan of his but I think in the end dropping Ziyech cost us 2 points.

Will be interesting to see what happens when everyone is back post international break.

Had that run of 5-6 games in forward positions now which we've all hoped he'd get. Think he's done well all in all but a little lacking in end product. But think he's impressed the manager with his workrate and pressing so should see a lot more of him.

Personally for me its his position to lose on the LW. His direct competition is Werner who fluctuates been brilliant & awful, and Pulisic who is still working this way back to full fitness.

I will exclude puli for now because I am not convinced he can stay healthy, but between Werner and cho, you have two very2 different player. It will come down to the opp and who play the other two att spots
