Reading newspapers headlines, twitter etc is where us fans get our information from, and then we have opinion on that. Thats why the next chelsea manager thread is 102 pages and counting which im sure you have posted on. Saying Marina messed is the deal is hardly an outrageous claim. Not sure why you get aggressive over it.

Not getting aggressive at all, just fed up of fans blaming Emenalo and now Marina for deals that we may not have even been a part of. Majority of fans were saying they didn't want Lukaku and now use it as a 'f**k you' to the board that we didn't sign him.

Your posts came across as aggressive, i never blamed Emenalo for anything i was always supporting him on here and i've only blamed Marina once for the Lukaku deal nothing else. Emerald did a great job in my eyes. I wanted Lukaku over Morata but wasn't ever 100% on Lukaku either.

My comments were more general about the chelsea fan base than a dig at you mate.

Looking at our options I’d keep Morata this year to give him another run in the side. Yes he goes down with the slightest touch but so did Drogba when he arrived. I remember him getting booed when he got subbed for Kezman. I am not comparing him to Drogba because they are completely different players but my point is what are our other options Higuain? Mertens? Both over 30 never played premier league and wil probably need time to settle in. It was Morata’s first season as a number 1 striker and playing a different style of football it may help him fulfil his potential rather than playing with his back to goal. Morata just feels like another de Bruyne where he could go Dortmund rip it up and suddley he is a 100m forward. The way he started the season gives me hope that there is a player there to work with and playing in the right system and given time to settle in to a new environment he could be the striker we are looking for

Morata is a work in progress....I hope that we keep him, hopefully he's learned a lot from last season and now we have an attacking coach maybe his luck will change.

.......there's a lot of 'hope' in this post......but it's up to him to prove his worth.   Lots of dead wood to clear out besides him, he's young, he's quick and worth keeping IMO.

Or neither, even better.

I've got a twitter thread that might convince you on Morata Coco and how great he is.

That is so hard to scroll through. The difference between champions league and Europa league right there on display

I'm hoping Sarri can install some steel into the boy, he's potentially a great striker and he needs to iron out the annoying kinks from his game ie pretending to be hurt, going down too easily etc.

I really like Morata, we shouldn’t get rid of him. There is a high quality player in there, he just needs the right coach to sort his mentality out. His problems are purely mental.

I don't think we've really got any option but to continue with Morata in the short term & assess the situation come Xmas. As for Higuain I'm not enthused at all & I think that some on here are being a bit harsh on Giroud.

The Giroud signing was pointless in my opinion, he just doesn’t score enough goals. We need to move away from that style of football that values a forward more for holding up the ball than actually scoring goals.

We should go out and buy the striker that won his team the world cup.....

....oh wait, we already have him.

We talking about Giroud here? Although i think he has his purpose and can hold the ball up he isn't going to win us the league over 38 games. He didn't even register a single shot on target at the WC ffs.

Giroud is a good alternative option and can also help support a main striker if needed.

Good alternative at what exactly? 6 starts at the World Cup with 0 goals & 0 shots on target. When you consider that France had Peru, Australia & Denmark in their good, that is piss poor.

Who gives a sh*t about the World Cup, it's what he does for Chelsea that counts. He is a target man that can bring others into the game, it also gives us a different option if Plan A isn't working.

I know he's a striker and his job is to score goals but watch the French games! Against Australia they struggled to get into the game because they had no presence, on comes giroud France play better. Okay when the wingers for France are Mbappe and Greizmann you don't need the striker to score. But criticising girouds world cup because he didn't score is ridiculous. He allowed the stars to shine. It's almost similar to saying kante was rubbish because he didn't score or assist.

Was gonna comment, but @zolawannabe25 said it for me.   BUT, we need similar forwards to  Mbappe and Griezmann (NOT those two exactly, get serious) to take advantage of his type of play.

Agree but i still don't think we'd win the league with him for 38 games. If Hazard stays and for arguments sake Willian too we don't have nearly enough firepower as i'd consider them more creators than finishers.

When i look at all of the recent premier league title wins they've all had a top level goal scorer in their team.

Chelsea - Costa 20 goals (twice)

Leicester - Vardy 24 goals

Man City - Aguero 23 goals Yaya Toure 20 goals

Man United - Van Persie 26 goals

We need someone who can get close to these numbers and i sadly can't see it. Great back up to have though.
