Everybody can be wrong about a player, including some of the most known managers in the world, but not you!

That's not true Gol. We have both been proved wrong on Havertz unfortunately.

Another anonymous performance... Bring on January if the FDJ rumours are true.

Don’t think Barca will entertain a bid in Jan cos he is their best midfielder. Even if he was to be available Liverpool & Utd are also interested.

Anyone in their right mind avoids Utd like the plague. Liverpool hate spending money, however if they do i imagine they go all out for Bellingham. If he's leaving we're the most likely destination, especially if he tries to force a move after how Barca treated him.

I may have stumbled upon a flaw in the theory here

He's not leaving, never was.

Until March when people get annoyed with him aswell because he's not a Declan McTominay esque blood and thunder type.

If Boehly and Co are so data driven, then there would be no appeal to Declan Rice.

They'll go a long way down in my estimations if he does.

The one big weakness of the Roman reign was falling for the romantic side of things at times. We got duped into signing Lukaku twice because of the narrative of him supposedly being a Chelsea fan.

Exactly! If, as some like to suggest, Italy won the Euros because of Jorginho, does it also mean they failed to even qualify for the World Cup because of Jorginho?

Last time when they couldn't score vs Sweden no but this time he missed the penalty vs Swiss so yes Jorginho is at huge fault there.

With that said, the problems with Italian football go deep, 20 years ago every single team had a domestic starplayer from Palermo to Juventus but in the recent years pretty much every single big club is dependent on foreign talent to carry their teams. Part from Ciro Immobile which is the exception to the rule.

See how the directors of football the recruit are, but the owners themselves have left a lot to be desired with their recruitment this summer imo.

If you are a PL team and you need to use data to assess rice then rice then something is wrong.

If Jorginho was in Man City and if we had Rodri you would be saying the same thing in reverse, that Rodri is not comparable to Jorginho...

Good squad player doesn't change the fact that Jorginho has been our key player ever since he got here.

This is bizarre. Why would he say that?  😅😅

Sterling is number is way down than what he had in city, do I asses sterling differently? Nope.

The most noticeable difference in the defensive stats is that Jorginho is dribbled past twice as much as Rodri. Though it is worth noting aerial duels won are not recorded here, but you would assume that Rodri would be leading comfortably in that metric too.

The major differences are when you compare the passing stats and offensive stats, and of course Rodri doesn't take the penalties for City. Rodri. Yet another another example of a defensive midfielder who is not just a recycler. And this was last season's figures before he had Haaland to play in!!

Jorgi is interesting player isn't it. He is like a player in era from few years where people try to copy spain/Barca and people think Harry winks will be England best midfielder.

It is impressive such basic player can play in elite football. And it is even more impressive that a lot of people think that he is a wc regista.

Agreed. You could just watch Scott McTominay and that pretty much gives you a preview of Rice at a "big 6" team.

Easy for Jorginho to play in that Man City team, all lanes open for passes all the time, no wonder Pep got mad when he didn't sign him. If Rodri was here he would also be seen as a sideways passer and just as a squad player by all that deem Jorginho as such.

Rice obsession again, some of our fans rate every player that comes from Cobham instead of actual ability.

If you come from Cobham i automaticity rate you., its like a bunch of Alex Golbergs on here.

It's ironic because the "you only rate x player because he's a fancy name" is often trotted out but there's nothing that can convince me Rice would be a desirable target let alone the favourable one had he not been a Chelsea fan who has a bromance with a current fans favorite.

There was (rightly) outrage at the mere thought of signing Anthony Gordon at his rumoured price yet likely twice as much for someone totally unproven outside of sit back and counter football is largely being well received.
