We brought in Higuain for games like tomorrow.

We struggle to score and kill teams off, he needs to prove his worth massively against these sides.

Took his goal well, but missed a few easy ones too. Still has a long way to go before I'm convinced that he is any better than Morata.

He really should have had two goals in the first half. Based on this evidence as of right now, he has not shown me enough to warrant Chelsea buying him given the price tag.

He scored and took the goal well, should arguably have had at least two in that first half which would have given us a bit of breathing space in the second half and maybe not led led to such a cagey performance. 

The run of fixtures this month he really needs to start delivering. Was completely ineffective in the second half today, need players to not be doing that when we’ve got such a good chance of breaking into the top four. 

Thought he was gassed after 60 minutes. Couldn't lead the high press in the second half, and once that happens, Fulham were free to ping balls over the top. 

Encouraged by his first half, and should've had 2. He had one that was very well saved by the Fulham GK

Should have had more than two

My worry is, even if we avoid the transfer ban in the summer and went on to sign Higuain for next season I still think we’re going to need another forward because Higuain doesn’t look like he’s got two games a week in him. 

Would love for Tammy Abraham to be given a chance but one look at CHO and RLC’s game time tells us it ain’t gonna happen.

I don't think Higuain should stay with us but I'm happy for his contribution. Next season Tammy + one new striker. I don't count on Morata even if he scored twice today lol he's too weak for the Premier league.

Jack, this has been pointed out with numerous examples already this season. Sarri does not commit players, in numbers, ahead of the player in possession of the ball.  

3 in 5 in the league with a goal every 133 mins. Compared to Morata's 5 in 16 with a goal every 187 mins. Add to the fact he can actually stay on his feet, hold the ball up and link up play this has been a really good bit of business so far.

Depending on what Hazard does, I'm OK at Wing assuming Pedro/Willian is 4th choice and the other is moved on. If Hazard leaves, then a bonafied star replacement will be in order. 

At least one more CB should be a priority as well, and that's assuming Zouma is backing up Rudiger and Christensen.

Higuain looks flat footed and it’s only going to get worse next year. We are already behind City, Liverpool, Spurs as things are and in danger of falling behind both Arsenal & Utd. We need a 15-20 league goal scorer, and  I just don’t think he is the solution. 

We need to move away from short term fixes as we are the only big club in England that seems to be on this weird path.

I think Higuain will be backing up Abraham very soon next season if the club doesn't dissapoint. The priority should depend on what happens to Hazard, ofc if he stays it's him + CHO + Pulisic that should be the primary wingers and bye bye to Willian and/or Pedro. In that scenario the priority is to make RLC a new key player and to see if Van Ginkel is fit again to play as the backup for Jorghy, like you say getting a defender is cruical, for me that's Rugani as the CB that still didn't sign a new contract with Juventus.

Could of loaned a non league striker, as long as Morata was gone it was a 'good bit of business', as far as temp fixes go.

I think we need 3 strikers next season. If we have 2 and one gets injured then what?

It would be the perfect situation to try Tammy in the less important games and see if he is up to it. Buy a top striker & have him, Higuain & Tammy. Then the season after if Tammy steps up, release Higuain. 

Especially if we're competing in the CL we need quality options for rotation and to change the game.

Just not going to have enough games for a third striker thats of any quality, Giroud barely plays as a 2nd this year.  The false 9 role can work much better than a third striker, it can give a nice change of pace, and allow more winger minutes too, plus more quality is kept.

He’s really not that great in my opinion. I had serious reservations about bringing him in, in the first place and as much as I’d hoped he’d prove me wrong, it’s not going very well so far. There was a reason Milan were happy to get shot. He should have scored at the back post today, got to be on your toes as a striker in that position.

Milan must be laughing their arse off that we took him off their hands while they got Piatek. 

 

We need a top class/high potential centre forward in the summer. If Morata turned in some of the performances that Higuain has, he’d have been absolutely slaughtered on here. At least Morata had pace.

Higuain has been an upgrade on Morata. At least he can hold the ball up, pick a pass and bring team mates in to play. Morata was absolute dog sh*t.
