March 18, 20224 yr It looks like a lot of the bidders are trying to add fans/people with Chelsea ties to their board as a PR stunt. I know a lot of people like the Boehly consortium but personally I dont trust them especially since they are already naming their board of directors even before taking over. They are trying too hard to prove to the Chelsea fans that they have our best interests.

If they get supporters on board that would be a plus for them but the names are being released to gain political traction.
March 18, 20224 yr Matt Law has done a podcast on London is Blue which was done yesterday. Talks about the sale process and some of the bidders. Really interesting. Key Points: - Bidding closes at 9pm UK. - Raine have been telling bidders a quick sale is a must. Any delays will rule them out. Must also show their cash as part of the govt - Govt only really involved from a political perspective. They won’t choose. Roman still choose plus the board. - They’ll shortlist 3/4 bids to advance - Out of the bidders, he would be surprised if Bohley, Ricketts do not advance - Seb Coe is putting a bid together which could be interesting. It’s undue how he is financing it though Definitely worth a listen https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/london-is-blue-chelsea-fc-soccer-podcast/id914691565?i=1000554412859
March 18, 20224 yr I’m interested by Seb Coe’s bid. He’s partnered with another Chelsea fan. Based on the limited info we have, Bohley and Seb Coe would be my choice. Edited March 18, 20224 yr by JM7
March 18, 20224 yr The Premier League would take a close interest if Saudi Media Group emerge as preferred bidders for #Chelsea, which could derail the timetable of the takeover given they took 17 weeks to sign off on the Newcastle sale. [via @SamiMokbel81_DM]
March 18, 20224 yr It's all okay mentioning some of the potential buyers, but it's one thing finding 2 billion to buy the club, but however it's another thing finding another billion or so to redevelope the ground. Edited March 18, 20224 yr by Bluesince66 Spelling
March 18, 20224 yr A John Terry-led 'True Blue' consortium attempts to secure 10% stake in Chelsea for £250m Chelsea legend John Terry and former women's football star Claire Rafferty are fronting up a £250 million ($329m) consortium called True Blue in an attempt to buy a 10 percent stake in the cl - @NizaarKinsella

[via @SamiMokbel81_DM] A reminder that the reason why it took 17 weeks to sign off Newcastle buy is because of the accusation of Saudi’s illegal PL streaming. Not because of their money. Also this tweet is silly because the PL will ALWAYS get involved regardless with any buyer. Edited March 18, 20224 yr by Mana
March 18, 20224 yr I am willing to front a bid for Chelsea if anyone can provide 2.5B in backing for me.

March 18, 20224 yr Mere hours before Friday’s 9pm deadline to bid for Chelsea, the consortium led by Todd Boehly were confident. There is an optimism they have the best all-round offer, right up to fan involvement. - @MiguelDelaney Out of the offers, I think Boehly seems to be the best (from the limited info I know). Seems to have the right motivation, competitiveness and finance. No skeletons either. I would be surprised if it’s not him that gets it. I read he invested £162m AFTER winning the title - something we failed to do.
March 18, 20224 yr There is still 'soreness' over the Newcastle United takeover and some 'want Chelsea to pay' for what is seen as years of unfair advantage. [via @MiguelDelaney]
March 18, 20224 yr Andriy Shevchenko: "Chelsea football legend" Emmm. Okay. From the words of Jose Mourinho: "If I speak, I am in big trouble." EDIT: OMFG ITV/GMB blurred out the photo with Andriy and Roman together in that vid LOL EDIT 2: Nevermind, they blurred all photos, not just that. Probably for copyright reasons. But fair play to Shevchenko for not speaking against us. The media really wanted more fuel added to our club. Well done Andriy for not taking the bait when they asked that question. March 18, 20224 yr Typical of our press. "Yeah yeah yeah, Ukraine bombs death, very sad, but what we really want to focus on is a couple of hundred people shouting the name of a Russian business man". Edited March 18, 20224 yr by Snedger
March 18, 20224 yr Quote Don't choke on your chips when you see who buys Chelsea and realise they will become an even bigger prospect with a £1.5b stadium. My default social media post to anti-Chelsea hysteria.

The sports press never cared about Ukraine to begin with, they saw a clear chance drag Chelsea through the mud because of untapped jealosy in the rival fanbase
