You'd be surprised how often this happens on Chelsea posts currently. Doesn't matter if its a bit or not its weird and disgusting. Mason Mount is the most overly and unfairly hated player in the clubs history.

Jorginho would like to have a word about being booed off at Stamford Bridge.

No chance mount gets the level of hate Jorginho gets.

I actually think Mount gets more hate on social media than Jorginho ever got.

I've never understood why that is, but fair play to the lad he doesn't let it bother him and he gets on with it and gives it his all. That's why I want him here, I don't want Mount sold anytime soon, I just don't think he's a player you build a team around, in other words, I don't think he's as good as some on this forum believe he is despite his world-class form two seasons ago.

I've never once seen someone say they want Jorginho to die or get a career ending injury on social media.

Didn't seem bothered by the result did he? After an awful cameo too.

Everything is just different with him these days. Including the mentality.

Jeeeeez man I wonder what it could be.

He seems to think he's the next Beckham.

Winning isn't a priority for this tosser anymore. He should go be an intern for GQ.

I think sometimes we look too deeply into smiles and friendliness after a match. A boxer gets KO'd and loses his belts and he'll go across the ring and shake the guy's hand and give his whole team a hug. It could just be humility and respect.

I think Mason is just a nice bloke, I don't think he's lost his passion.

Let the guy breathe .. it’s not as if we are on a title charge and lost a crucial game .. if you haven’t noticed a draw these days is the best we seem to be doing under this coach.. we have lost 3 or more matches in a row twice have drawn our last 3.

I am sure like any other person he is trying his best.. but this is sports maybe he is trying to hard and needs to enjoy and relax football..

so called “fans” will latch on anything to blame a guy. I am sure ex players did all the time just not on camera given there were hardly any then.

How can an English player, playing for an English club, under an English manager, in a club he came up from the academy, in the Premier league of England, with lots of English men in studios and behind television screens across England get called out to that level of embarrassing proportions.

El regreso, any chance you don't have roots in this fine English land?

The English know how to do what some may describe as hypocrisy, others as double standards, yet some others as bias, and do it very well without missing a beat.

I just call it the English being English.

I've said it for over three seasons, Mason Mount is a very poor player and selfish too. He has moments of brilliance but if he didn't have the E factor, let's just say he wouldn't get as much love as he's received over the years.

Just reading this thread makes me shake my head. There seems to be only two extremes, the ones that see Mount as a god-like figure that will lead us to several PL wins because he is "one of us" and then the ones that don't rate him at all and blame him for everything.

What about some balance? This is not Twitter after all.

There's merit in some views though. We shouldn't for the sake of balance dilute our views on a player.

Sure we don't need hate or abuse but calling a player that's poor, poor isn't a bad thing I'd say.

Absolute total and utterly xenophobic bullsh*t, get a grip.

The English? Each and every one of them? Wow, so that's being English, I never knew.

So were now at a point where mount wearing clothes or smiling means hes a tosser or he doesnt care. This fanbase is mental.

most of them only joined recently, feels like they've latched on recently for some reason

i understand criticising mount but the hatred is really strange and the nitpicking and focussing on every little thing he does.

The truth is this, Mason Mount has been having poor performances match after match and even Potter decided not to make him a starter against West Ham and once he got in he failed to make any real impact.

The background of all this is that Mount was comfortable in the previous seasons as he was a key player and one of our most important engines that was vital for the way we played but under Potter that doesn't seem to be the case anymore and with the new additions to the team that are looking eager to settle and make an impact, everything is in the air right now including Mount's contract extension.

We do have Gallagher that might even become a more potent goal threat than Mount, and Joao Felix looks like a league above everyone else in the final third so it is a different style from the high level press that we used to have, that is gone and by all means Mount has been our best pressing player that could impact a match even without the ball, but it looks as if his best qualities are not what Potter wants to see.

It's also noticable that Mudryk is here to stay as even without having match fitness he has automatically become a part of the starting lineup, so if you want a balanced view you would need to turn and see how is Potter playing the whole team, it all starts and it all ends there as Mount's untouchable status has a lot of question marks now that only Potter can answer for.

I totally agree but that wasn't my point. My point is that with Mason it seems that there is a group of people that absolutely love him and defend him against any criticism and then there is people who ignore his accomplishments and just bash him no matter what. Very little in between ... not much level-headed analysis.

Just leave the dude alone for Christ sake, we have a manager that can’t get a 3 note tune from this finely tuned ensemble, Mase already has a noteworthy CV, to make you trolls drool, so he’s missing a beat who else isn’t, grow up or just f**k off….
