Bad defending but I dont blame the players this time. They just scored and then VAR disallowed, its going to take a bit of getting used to on the players' end for them to control emotions after that.

can't understand Frank going with zonal marking at set pieces. we never used it when he was a player and we usually made fools out of the teams that did against us

I've no idea who sold Frank the idea that zonal marking works. Every manager we have that used it had horrible results. 

Without Van Dijk Liverpool would have an average defence. He is the difference maker for them in that department. Shame we haven't got similar.

I can accept  that Liverpool are better than us, the more worrying thing is how easy it's been for them, that is something that concerns me more than anything. We look completely out of our depth. It's like watching the top team take on a mid table team.

I think VAR should only be used in box, anything outside goes, offsides outside the box should be down to the officials not technology

Why are keepers allowed to jump leading with their knee? If an outfield player does that going for a header it’s s free kick and at least a booking.

Annoying thing is we could have sorted the defense out before the ban, because Azpi has looked terrible for a while and Christensen has been on a one man mission to know us out of competitions. Not forgetting that Zouma was never going to be an answer after the injury. 

Think we have been playing quite well. Deserved to be on level terms. Hopefully get one back before the half.
