Fantastic result today, manager got the rotation in spot on today and even managed to get CHO minutes, thought James was great after he settled down, Olly reliable as usual how many more goals I wonder from him with more starts, Kante was looking fly again shame about his muscular injury, Willy excellent, Pulisic is looking top draw and kudos to Ross da Boss

back in the top 4 lot hard work to go but we play both United and Wolves so after these 3 points it’s 4TH or BUST ?

CAREFREE THEN !

If Barkley only had a footballing brain he might actually be a decent player

In the last few games he's scored and assisted, he's not great but his contribution has been excellent! This is why he's starting games, almost every chance he got he took it well.

Abraham making the run in to the same space as Pulisic there made that too easy for the defender. He has to be dragging him away.

That's where Giroud separates himself. Tammy still have lots to learn.

The back 4 change made a bigger difference however judging them against Watford is not the best measurement

Wrong on both accounts in my opinion. Watford we’re above West Ham before we let them beat us so the comparison is perfectly just. The back four tonight was much improved. You’re entitled to your opinion though.

Still a lot of work to be done but as I said after West Ham defeat, a bit of perspective was required. Five points ahead of Wolves with five games to go, handy margin. Kept within a point of Leicester. Utd will be hard to finish above of given their form and fixture list. Hopefully Kante isn’t injured. Gilmour has had a bit of a reality check in two appearances now and frank clearly doesn’t like Jorginho all of a sudden

I don't see it, Pulisic had a bigger impact on the match

It's often not talk about and you don't see it unless you really pay attention, but whenever Pulisic is on the ball; he draws away 3-4 defenders. That leaves a lot of space for his mates to operate and run into.

Pulisic has a much bigger impact on the game, even when he does not score or assist.

I also really like Mount. I believe Mount and Pulisic will play a very BIG part for Chelsea in the future.

Everyone was good tonight, a couple of lapses towards the end, but a solid victory.

Barkley deserved his goal, probably motm for me, looked confident, controlled the game, and worked hard.

Zouma should start every game, so dominant in all his duels.

RLC and James both starting to shake the rust off.

Big week coming up,we will hear about citys appeal, wolves and leicester have a tricky game or 2, and we have have 2 games on the road which will go along way to deciding our fate.

That was more like it, a dominant performance. A good professional display in the second half with few scares, mainly from the disruption with subs. Hopefully Kante isn't seriously  injured.

Zouma though looking awkward on the ball is our best defensive centre back and now has to start for the rest of the season.

James grew into the game second half, our younger players do seem to have come back a little rustier than their more experienced counterparts.

Pulisic is going to a very important player for us.

Mount leads the press well and gives us energy.

Barkley lulls opponents into a false sense of security. Most of the time he picks the wrong pass makes the wrong run etc but can pick out a peach of a pass just when your not expecting it. Took his goal well too.

Willian takes a good spot kick.

Zouma was a rock, having Azpi as left back was much better than we've seen from Alonso recently.

Props to Azpilicueta we look way more stable when he's there on the left even when it takes some time for James to adapt to the flow of the game.

A new LB is for me the most important signing now.

Extremely comfortable but as a spectacle just dreadful I don't think I'll ever get used to this behind closed doors football. If Leicester had been 20 points ahead would there be such a frenzy to get football started I very much doubt it. Anyway a Chelsea win is always welcome.

  • I liked the back four today especially Zouma, a tower of strength.
  • Need to remember no Delofeu today still we showed professionalism.
  • Thought we should have had two penalties ( I also missed most of the second half)
  • Barkley continues to be mercurial both sublime and baffling, yet he got the assist for the important first.
  • Liked seeing Azpi back at LB, we looked more balanced.
  • Pulisic continues to impress though twice he could have put another player in a better position in on goal, think he wants to be on the scoresheet a little too much, we could have scored more.
  • James played well today and whereas Willian in open play continues to frustrate the opposition seem to panic when James delivers a good cross.

Now back in front of Utd KTBFH

Potentially a big step towards CL next season this.

City will likely get at least one year suspension and then fifth is enough. And we have five points on Wolves + better GD.
