Tammy’s performances have made Giroud look like Lewandowski in comparison. Utterly dreadful and embarrassing.

Tammy has been poor for a while now terrible at keeping the ball

Abraham can't complete a simple good pass, our midfield offers clearly nothing to attack and even defense.

3 substitutions in the half, bring RLC to change the game for us, bring Giroud maybe even with Abraham together to sit on Sheffield's defense.

We're so f**ked up now, we have 45 minutes to score 2 goals to get a point and maybe score another one for a win. And it all without concede a goal.

I'm so mad, seriously. We're looking nowhere near the best football we have, it seems like we want to play in the Europe League next season.

We don't know how to play a game like this.
We do not know.
And it was a final for us!

Keep hiding Lampard's responsibility in all of this.

An amateur mistake by Mount in the first goal, after all he is a championship level player, just like Tammy.
Frankie's fetishes.

We have a defensive organization at Norwich level.

Two goals conceded, not one goal opportunity created, the eyes bleed from seeing so much crap.

300 passes between the defenders and the goalkeeper, Sheffield United completely relaxed since minute 1, our players look like gelatin and our coach is the biggest problem.

We have the same defects since the first day, zero evolution, otherwise we score 4 goals we cannot win a game.

This is not serious.

Either Lampard hires someone already who knows how to put the team to defend or he leaves now.
I'm full of it.

Goodbye Champions League.

I can't see any more of this.

Good weekend to everyone.

I think it's more that we are being outclassed by a better team

What the hell? You're telling us 1-goal-this-season McGoldrick and McBurnie are better than multiple PL winner Willian??

Get Abraham off, replace him with who, it doesn't matter get him off useless.

He actually reminds me of Morata. Can't hold the ball up, doesn't make the runs, can't pass and rarely scores.

Abraham has been useless up front. I know he hasn't had much service, but he can't even get the most basic things right. It's just bouncing off him.

Clumsy, gangly and tactically and spatially inept

Why are people blaming the players, there has been a tactical defensive issue from day one and it hasn't changed one bit.

You could spend £200 million on defender's it simply won't make a difference.

Swap Sheffield defender's with ours and see if the performance they are putting in now carrier's over to us.

If you don't fix the tactical issue first you will end up exactly the same place.

And when I speak about tactical and defending I am talking right from the front, defending start's with your attacker.

Idk why Lampard persisted with James. Maybe he was hoping with more games he will get better but as it stands for now Azpi on the right and Alonso left would be better.

Not saying he shouldn't be near the first team but on current form not good enough because before the break he actually was good, bit raw but good.

I'd take Barkley off for Kova and Mount off for Ruben. Then replace Abraham at around the 60 min mark. We need a left footer at LB though. Azpi isn't it.

Yawn.

Honestly, we've watched this game 10 times this year. Pass around the outside. 70 percent of possession with the centre backs having 50 percent of it. Create nothing and then defence switches off. Kepa's weak wrists, Christensen ball watching and we've conceded two goals.

You have to have some guts and try and play in that block. You'll give the ball away a bit but interchanging it between winger and full back and then switching it to the other side to do the same is a waste of time. First thing that needs to occur is Giroud needs to come on, nothing against Tammy but he is playing against three centre backs and should have never started this game. Second is to get Ruben on to run at them in that area. Ross and Mason look so afraid of giving the ball away they are doing nothing with it. Finally Alonso comes on too. Doesn't matter for who. May as well have someone on who can score a goal.

Let's see what Frank does.

You could easily justify being the first team in a competitive game to make five changes at half time. Unfortunately we can't change Barkley, Jorghino and Mount as we don't  have three options on the bench. If we did I'd be minded to do so. All three awful. Surely one of them will be hooked.   Not a lot of point changing a centre half as they are all as dodgy as each other. Was it last week Zouma was now first choice? Now he is utter gash again. Could maybe bring on Alonso and put Azpilicueta into centre.  There really isn't anything surprising about this. We are bloody fortunate to have got the points we have since football returned as we haven't looked convincing in any of the games bar a spell of the City game.   If we end up not qualifying for the CL, especially if City ban not overturned, don't be so sure Lampard will be on charge next season. Abramovich is spending again and he might not be willing to give it to a manager who seems to be struggling tactically. I doubt the Chelsea ties will buy him much grace.

I agree about the tactics defensively. We really don't seem to have improved at all in that area this season. Yes we have limited personnel but we also seem to persist with zonal marking when it hasn't worked. Ultimately that was Big Phil's downfall if I remember correctly. With Leeds on their way up, and watching today's sh*tshow, I am having flashbacks to the early 90's and our midtable averageness.

I'd actually try Rudiger at RB tbh.

I do feel Christensen is the scapegoat again. Don’t get me wrong - he’s been awful but arguably our least bad player. says it all about our performance really.

What do we do in training? We keep repeating the same idiotic errors leading to goals every single match.

Well the defence looks good in training because our forwards and midfielders can't score either :face_palm:

100 cent agree with this... our mid is scared to death.. and Tammy should never have started.. bad bad call for this game

It could also make you think that there's an issue with the coaching, why is every defender playing like piss? I've not seen any improvement this season from any of our defenders and they should all be improving, besides James of course.

I'm starting to think there's more to this.

Most definitely especially when u consider that last seasons defence was waaay better than this and its the same players except CALAMITOUS DAVID LUIZ. LAMPARD HAS TO TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT.

I remember us getting beaten at Bramhall Lane a few times in the early 90's. In fact we have a pretty crap record against them in general I think.

I recall a 2-3 to us at bramhall lane yonks back ,its the only short straw that i can grasp at the moment
