I've seen better defending from championship outifts than what I watched today. Are you saying we don't have young defenders at the club who would do worse than Christensen and Ridiger? 

I’m not disputing that the coaching needs to be better or that we need better defenders. What I’m asking is what’s the alternative? No, I don’t think we have better young players who could do better. 
 

so what if Frank puts two 18 year old centre halves out there and they play poorly? This forum would explode with people calling for Franks head (it’s happening already which is cringe) and asking WTF he was doing. We’re stuck with the CB’s we have for the moment and until the summer there’s nothing we can do about it.

Same at derby it’s a defensive coaching issue as much as the players, if you give JM the defenders we have we would be solid, wouldn’t do anything with the ball in the final third but we would be solid. 
 

The bottom line is you can’t play expansive football if you don’t have special individual who can get you out of trouble hence VVD changes things at Liverpool, Frank needs to see if we wants to play this type of football he doesn’t have the personnel defensively so he needs to set up and approach games different.

 

Ziyech is probably calling his agent to find a loophole in his contract to go back to Amsterdam after watching this

No, he wouldn't. Go back to the start of the season, he's exceeding expectation. And I remember quite a few times we crowed 'tactical masterclass from Frank'. He still needs to learn, probably needs a good defensive assistent, and he needs new players.

Where is the money for new CB coming from? We have spent 90 odd million on our forward line and now look to have blown a potential 60 million CL place. 

There's no way we are signing 2 new first pick CB quality players in the summer let alone a new keeper and full backs. 

We are going to have to get people in who can coach and improve players because our current set up clearly can't. 

 

Klopps defense was a joke prior to signing VVD and now he is lauded as the best Manager in the world, defensive tactics can only take you so far if you've got sh*t defenders. 

sorry but if CW can build SU with those players, are you telling me that Lampard has worse options at Chelsea?

Answer is simple: he is not up to the job, same mistakes all seasons is down to the manager.

this team has been so inconsistent.. i dont put it beyond us.. tbh.. Leicester and utd have to play each other so one of them is dropping points... we played like this all season why does this result surprise you.. inconsistent players.. rookie manager.. youngsters... lets C. Apart from Utd who are just tearing everyone apart.. Leicester has been very shaky too..
