I guess it's going to take a while for Pochettino to wash out the Tottenham stink...

I think both of these sides are better than us if we're being realistic, however even with their '11 individuals' reputation I certainly wasn't expecting PSG to implode in the way that they did. Shame for Gueye, he's a player I've always rated and had been playing well up until that point.

I wanted PSG to win tonight, based on the only metric that matters - whom I deemed to be the team we would be more likely to beat should we get past Real Madrid. I don't like the idea of facing Guardiola's sturdiest Man City side, especially when they presumably feel that they are finally on the verge of fulfilling their destiny.

Mbappe might as well sign the contract and stay at Psg because that sort of off the ball effort will not be accepted at most top teams.

Mbappe has everything, absolutely everything you could want in a player. Every skill, every natural physical asset. Everything.

Except the work rate, attitude and mentality. Give him a quarter of Drogba's work ethic and never-say-die mentality and he could be the greatest player the world has ever seen.

This game shows one of the reasons i didn't want him.

He's NEVER reacts to in game tweaks by opposition managers, what happened tonight was almost a mirror of what happened to him a few years ago against Alegri.

Having 2 away goals is huge and Man City can simply drag the game out but I don't feel like the home advantage matters anymore, specially not in the modern game where most top clubs have a top pitch and the top players are paid so much that they couldn't care less about where they play so add to all that that there won't be fans and it's like a neutral venue. PSG looks like a team that can score a few goals most of the time so just like in our semi final things are far from over.

When he burst into the scene I just thought this guy will be great. Reminded me a bit of the real Ronaldo.
He has really disappointed this past season or so in that he hasn’t really kicked on, he could yet, only 22. While sometime showing his brilliance, tonight was a shocker.

Would take him in a heartbeat though.

City in a CL final will be a different team than the one we played in the FA cup. They were massively off colour that day.

Yeah, though we are not in the final yet to worry about that.

However regardless of what happens in our tie, I believe it is in the stars for City this time.

He hangs out with Neymar for far too long imo

I think thats the difference between a semifinal run and potential champions. City find 2 soft goals out of nowhere that too away from home. A hopeful punt into the box ends up in the back of the net and then what was an actually woeful free-kick sneaks through the tiniest of gaps in the wall. Mahrez wouldn't have been able to aim for it even if he saw it beforehand, so small was that space.  And to think of the good chances we had for 2-3 goals against Madrid but still ended up with only 1. Its a funny games sometimes.

Yes I think with just a goal separating the teams the tie is still open, though think City won't start that poorly next time and will probably score first.

PSG's goal surprised me and then I remembered Poch was their manager and it reminded me of a Delli Alli type goal.

There would be a certain irony if both City and us reach the final, the clubs flirted with the ESL and then pulled out and the reach the final. Doubt the football will be of the entertaining type fitting a showpiece final, more a very tactical affair.

Still we need to deal with Madrid first.

I think Tommy is clearly a better manager than Poch or Zidane, some statement i know, but he is that good tactically, even Pep will be slightly worried about facing him again, i just feel Tommy is going to be a nemesis to Pep. I hope Roman has his extension ready to sign.

I agree, I don't think Pep fancies meeting us.

Yet let's not forget both Poch and Zidane possess a number of players that can change matches.

Agree. We have players like Pulisic, Havertz, Mount and Ziyech who can be scintillating but haven't hit their peak potential yet. But Im happy that we're not reliant on any one player like we used to rely on Hazard.

Ah let's not be overconfident. We are not past Real and if we do make it Pep wont be worrying that his B team lost to us by a single goal in the FA cup.
