Edouard Mendy to Chelsea!

Featured Replies

Just seen Mendy is down to potentially miss the next game with "injury"....

....Seems to me to be the perfect face saving excuse to drop him, and give Kepa a game. Lets hope Kepa performs and gives the perfect face saving excuse to keep him in the team once the flapper is back to fitness.

not game after game, week after week he doesnt.

To be fair, Donnarumma doesn't have to actually do much at PSG. Teams can barely even get over the halfway line against PSG in Ligue 1.

I think we can all agree it’s time to take him for abit. We don’t need go overreact. He’s still a good keeper but just going through a bad patch.

Let Kepa start the next few.

It actually started with that howler against Real Madrid and Benzema that ultimately cost us a place in the semis. Since then hes been a disaster and this season especially.

The more I think about this the worse it gets.

- Leeds debacle with his feet
- Leicester headed corner that VAR overturned (and honestly imo should have stood)
- Today's first goal and second disallowed goal

As said, it goes back to Real Madrid, or even West Ham last year for me.  He should not start.

What's the injury?  Damaged self-esteem?

It started way before that. Ever since he had that awful game away to West Ham last year, he has been a nervous wreck.

It won’t happen mate until we play Barking FC in a FA Cup round!

Been banging my head into a brick wall since last season, we might as well put Oscar Pistorius in goal!

We’d be better off playing him upfront with his record of shooting on the spot.

I'd be more inclined to bench Mendy if we had a decent number 2.

Unfortunately we don't, probably could have done with looking at another keeper in the market this summer but here we are.

Wonder whether Slonina may be a part of the squad from January.

Let's f**king hope so!

We have serious issues with him

He can’t catch

He isn’t a good shot stopper

He can’t play with his feet

The more I think, is there anything he is actually good at? Claiming corners? Rushing out to meet the ball? Penalties? Anything?

TT says he is in some pain after the tackle and may miss the Zargreb match. Kepa should start anyways as Mendy is hopeless at everything at the mo.

Kepa does well in Croatia, start him at fulham please.

Far too dramatic people here, he saved us after James gifted them a goal with his header, without that rushing in and getting fouled we don't win the match at the end of the day.

A decent keeper would have caught the ball and not needed a dodgy var decision to bail him out.

Actually I had more issues with him on the 1st goal.

He could have easily tipped that over the bar instead of palming it off to a west ham player.  Poor decision making in the moment.

He has also lost all confidence coming out to collect, which was a strength in his first couple of seasons.

Kepa had the same problem when he lost confidence - stopped commanding the area.
