Top performance, and just a great guy to go with it.  Seems so humble and willing to work as hard as it takes.  I love watching him scream at defenders; doesn't matter who it is, he gives them a good earful. 

Right now I wouldnt swap him with any other GK in Europe, maybe Oblak but .. He's blocking out shots, commanding the area, and communicated well with defenders. Looking at stats, only goal he conceded was a PK, and only after a team mate  knocked the ball out of his grasp.

I think he is a very solid 7/10 goal keeper. I think with him apart from a miss kick every now and then you won’t see howlers. Maybe keepers like Ederson will make more spectacular saves but they also lose their heads every now and then. 
The only keeper I think better than him for my money would be Allison who has incredible short stopping and a better distribution- while Mendy is probably more commanding in the box.

Just watched his double save again in the first half  v Villa. Brilliant goalkeeping.

I think he's a comfortable 8-9 out of 10. So assured when the ball is passed back to him, excellent positionally and as a shot stopper. Just doesn't seem prone to lapses in concentration like Ederson for example.

He really commands confidence.

Any idea of Mendy will be healed up in time for the Man City clash??

Personally think it's the opposite. He makes saves look normal because his positioning has been spot on. 

Only reason spectacular saves look spectacular is because those keepers are out of position. Football being a dynamic game more often than not keepers rely on their reflexes and agility.

Mendy reads the game well and is most of the time on his toes and barely ever on his heels. 

He is a 8.5-9.5/10 goalkeeper if I'm honest. 

Don't think he played very well today. His kicking was terrible.

You know when you look back on a player and lament that you didn't appreciate them enough while they were active? We're witnessing greatness in action.

All evens out. Or something like that. 
what a monster he was today. 

Without him, we lose the game. Saved us more than once today.

He's got everything.

He can be the keeper that can keep concentration and do that one thing a game and he can also be that keeper who saves us when we are getting hammered (most keepers are one or the other).

Best keeper in the world.

The best in the world.

Not only because of what he did today. The way he instills confidence into our back 3 is phenomenal.

His positioning is superb. He doesn't even make them super acrobatic saves like Kepa or De Gea, he's always at the critical spot and has the reflexes to pull out a hand. 

I cannot praise him enough

World class performance today, and a man that I feel is growing into his role in the team. Match winning show no doubt.
