December 30, 20232 yr Real class stands out no matter how poor everyone around him play. A true star would have lovin to have him in our team much earlier in his career

Criminal we didn't do everything possible to sign him sooner. In his first presser with us he said he had no interest in coming to the PL back then (due to the style of football most teams played at that point). He said he could physically handle it but it just wasn't for him.
January 6, 20242 yr What a great header again today. Just love Silva and everything he brings to the team / club. Top, top bloke.

January 13, 20242 yr I think we will really miss him next season once he's gone. Despite the age and slowing down ( more than last year), his experience and positioning could not be replaced at this stage. I'm pretty certain we would have conceded later on if he wasn't on the field. The lack of maturity and composure among this group is quite alarming, take away Thiago and we have almost nothing.
January 13, 20242 yr Going to get slaughtered for this:- Silva is class, one of the best ever and I’m not suggesting that this guy is fit to lace his boots. However at present I think we’d be better off with a Dunk. Our defence needs controlled and lead and I think someone like this would be better suited.

When he is absent Brighton are a shambles at the back.

He is a leader, someone who leaves everything out there, will put his body on the line and I don’t think he would accept anything less from those around him. Good enough ball player too. Silva is a thoroughbred, just a classy ball player. Unfortunately those around him are not on his wavelength and he maybe encourages more ball playing than our defence is capable off.
January 13, 20242 yr I love Silva, and hope there is some way he will stay one additional season, though I think that is extremely unlikely.

January 14, 20242 yr To think Silva just called me to ask if @Bebe1980 wanted a ticket to the 2nd leg as well.
January 24, 20242 yr Seems like they have taken his words and twisted them a bit Thiago Silva drops hint on Chelsea future as contract runs down despite two-year plan - Mirror Online He may well still leave at the end of the season, but with his kids in our youth system for 2 years, he may want to stick around for another year if he can.
