This is a man who was bottling a one-horse league in France with one of the most expensive squads ever assembled.  Before he came to PSG he’d won ONE cup as a manager. He’s spent £350M at Chelsea, without a DoF interfering with any decisions, yet produced some of the worst football I’ve ever seen.

i have been super critical of TT lately but really talk about a stupid decision.. really surprised and angry- i think TT would have turned this around for sure. Whoever is advising Boehly is not sane.. I think this is beyond insanity.. All said and done we are only 5 points off and lost a one-off.. This is crazy / absolutely crazy IMO.

And if Boehly continues to make such stupid decisions Chelsea will be the new ManU.  It is no wonder that the teams that dominate PL are long term projects and the coaches can built their team. That is why they are that good. But Chelsea give the coach six games after a lot of last minute transfers, injuries and a whole new defense. just stupid.

extremely sad - TT deserved better atleast 90% of us thought so.. cant say the board was listening to the terraces.. gutted/absolutely gutted.

Dissapointed, had the experince of winning major trophies a new set of players to bed in and an obviuos passion for Chelsea should have been given some additional time to make it work. 🤢

I don't think our style of football was ever that impressive under Tuchel. There were glimpses of it being good such as the 4-0 win against Juventus, but there were a lot of toothless performances amongst the 100 games he coached.

Tuchel fixed the defence up after Lampard's departure, which helped us for a while but once the defence started leaking goals (the start of this rut being a 4-1 loss to Brentford), he had no answers especially in attack where we were toothless too often for my liking.

Personally, I would have given him until the WC to adapt and adjust to the new signings, but things were deteriorating rather quickly so I'm not as outraged about the sackings as other might be.

Nevertheless, it seems like a huge waste to have him heavily involved with Boehly when it came to summer signings only for then to pull the pin a week later after the window closes.

Pep plays players out of position all the time in case you didn't notice. 

Klopp has turgid games just as well but got bailed out by actual world class players more than once (and some refs as well). 

None of them had to work within a free fall club losing half their defense and about to lose half their midfield (not that we'd notice since they are mostly injured or half-fit anyway). 

Also begs the question who's really on par with those two managers? None I'd say. If you want to challenge for a title against those juggernauts (mostly City this year I guess) you have to appoint a manager to last and build a squad to fit him - just like those two clubs actually did. So either they should have done their homework before pre-season and appoint someone they think more capable of this to invest heavily afterwards or actually back the manager you got and who showed that he is capable of winning stuff - and back him not only with new shiny toys but in the actual dressing room.

Why the f**k would you give Tuchel control on transfers and then bin him 5 days after the transfer window closes? It's absolutely brainless whatever way you look at it. Forget Tuchel, maybe Boehly needs to fire himself, because he's the one that appears to not know what the f**k he is doing. 

On to the next one then, how long are we giving him? 12 months? Players will miraculously recover now will they? probably win a trophy and then revert to their same sh*tty standards they always fall back into as time goes by. 

We're a circus and a total embarassment of a football club.

We had ONE midfielder who could complete 90 mins against Southampton. Have you watched them at all? They don't look threatening in the slightest. The only difference is their personnel in attack allows them play like sh*t and still win.

I don't think it's insane. It's nothing we haven't seen before under Roman.

Apart from blind faith, there was no evidence he could turn things around.

Another theory mentioned elsewhere he's had a falling out with the players and/or the board. This isn't the first time it's happened after the way his stints ended at Dortmund and PSG.

Absolutely crazy, we deserve relegation.

Well I guess we'll find out really fast now whether it was the players or the tactics ...

I've watched Liverpool put in dozens of poor performances under Klopp in games they've won due to a bit of magic from Salah, Mane, Jota or Diaz.

I can't recall a single game We've struggled in and been rescued by moments of magic from Pulisic or Ziyech.

Our attacking options right now are reminiscent of when Klopp had Borini, Lambert and Balotelli as his front 3.  

He finished 7th/8th.

If you don't have the talent in the final third I'm not exactly what people expect From Tuchel or any manager.
