September 7, 20223 yr This is their first big mistake massive mistake. How can be build if we keep changing mangers ever flipping 18 months. No way we can catch City and Liverpool like this and anyone who thinks we can is deluded.
September 7, 20223 yr I said this morning, that the biggest argument against moving him on is that there is no one else. Pochettino, maybe Zidane and that's it. This nonsense about Potter is Eddie Howe mark 2. Easy to overachieve and get to midtable with a poor team. Another thing entirely to win every week and challenge for the league. The egos at the club will walk all over anyone who hasn't won a big trophy in their career.
September 7, 20223 yr Unbelievably harsh, there must have been soething behind the scenes we haven't seen. No way someone gets sacked after just 2 games with their new signings. Realistically who do we get now? Potter? Poch? None of them are really filling me with much confidence. Gutted to see Tuchel go, was my favourite manager since '04 Mourinho.
September 7, 20223 yr Have to admit this is up there with one of the most brutal sackings I've seen at the club, and we haven't been short of them in the past. Who knows what was going on behind the scenes. It's possible he completely lost the dressing room and there was no other way to reconcile or repair it.
September 7, 20223 yr Just now, RIP Mourinho said: Unbelievably harsh, there must have been soething behind the scenes we haven't seen. No way someone gets sacked after just 2 games with their new signings. That's what I'm thinking as well. I would have given him until the World Cup to turn things around, but we've been a mess on the pitch since early April and there was no sign of a turnaround.
September 7, 20223 yr 1 minute ago, abramovich said: This is crazy. Even Roman would give him more time. Nope.. I think he would have been sacked at the end of last season because we were awful, but then you would argue it was because of the ownership issues. I think the level of spending & wages spent demanded a deep run in the CL, & Top 4 minimum, or we were going to be in real trouble. 8 minutes ago, Sexyfootball said: I'm quite staggered by that ... I guess with new owners coming on board it was inevitable that sooner or later they would want their own man ... and sooner wins ! I don’t think they would have sacked him if the performances were good. He did put pressure on the owners to deliver his targets, and I reckon he guaranteed he could compete in the league. You would have to be mad to spend £250m+ backing a manager in the market if you didn’t believe in him. We are screwed going forward as I am pretty certain the next manager would bin the back 5.
September 7, 20223 yr I didn't expect it this early and I thought it was going to come after a poor season. Just shocked we've sacked him after supposedly signing all his players.

September 7, 20223 yr Braindead and shameful decision, I am absolutely embarrassed to even call myself a fan. This hurts and I'm being honest, this hurts more than Lampard getting sacked.
September 7, 20223 yr Players getting AWAY scott free again. Throwing another manager under the bus!!! We signed Auba because of Tuchel WTF!!!! Edited September 7, 20223 yr by El regreso
September 7, 20223 yr Imagine Aubameyang, TTs main man he wanted, not sure we'd of got him without TT, is JT involved in the support staff

September 7, 20223 yr Really can't fathom the decision to sack him when they've just spent close to £300m securing his targets, and then sack him before they even have a chance to gel properly. 2 weeks ago they were going to offer him a new contract! I reckon as well as the results being poor, maybe there has been a bit of a falling out behind the scenes.
September 7, 20223 yr Wow, didn’t expect this so soon. Graham potter seems favorite. Dunno about that, I think potchettino would be better
September 7, 20223 yr phew..not really surprised but disappointing nonetheless. I was arguing with someone here that I didn't think our squad had a mentality problem but yesterday made me re-think that. We look good in patches but overall it appears as if we're running around with heavy moon boots. Not sure he still had the locker room behind him so to some extent it's to be expected. But why is a whole other question. Last season was tough on anybody inside the club almost in all regards so there may have happened a break although we were still doing ok (regarding the overall circumstances). Gotta be careful with giving too much power to the players - sometimes you have to back your manager even if its a heavy slump we're going through. But thanks a ton for exciting cup runs and keeping the ship sailing during hard times. Guess the new owner not only wants a new DoF, a new squad but also a new manager. We'll know better in half a year if that's been a sensible move.

Unless there's been a complete breakdown between the players and coach, or the coach and the board it doesn't make sense to make a decision so soon after a busy transfer period.
September 7, 20223 yr Guess the Tuchel outers got what they wanted. Be careful what you wish for from here on. The next option will have to be a short contract and see what happens.
September 7, 20223 yr We've seen some shocking decision-making over the years but this is right up there. Absolutely scandalous. Back on the f*cking merry-go-round.
September 7, 20223 yr Well Boehly is certainly cleaning house. Is there anybody left from the old regime? - Roman gone (obviously) - Marina gone - Tenenbaum gone (I think) - Petr gone - Bruce Buck still around in some unofficial capacity - Now Tuchel gone
