Give it to kepa till the World Cup

I cannot believe this

absolutely shocking decision

For me it was a no brainer. I detested the bloke. His interview after the match which revealed his lack of knowing what the problem is - a big indicator that he wasn't aware the players had stopped playing for him. After the shenanigans with Conte he lost it for me.

Ok the playing staff don't come out with credit either but the main job of a good manager is to control egos and get them onside.

Poch or Zidane.

Would be interesting to see how they handled this historically with their other clubs, baseball etc. Did they go big name, experienced or up and coming manger.

I think you might be onto something.

Alarm bells were ringing when he said "everything was missing". That told me he was clueless in how to overcome the current issues facing us, or he had completely lost the dressing room.

This.

I've watched Liverpool put in dozens of poor performances under Klopp in games they've won due to a bit of magic from Salah, Mane, Jota or Diaz.

I can't recall a single game We've struggled in and been rescued by moments of magic from Pulisic or Ziyech.

Our attacking options right now are reminiscent of when Klopp had Borini, Lambert and Balotelli as his front 3.

He finished 7th/8th.

If you don't have the talent in the final third I'm not exactly what people expect From Tuchel or any manager.

Yes but that was his first season. Sadly with TT we’ve gone backwards. Not saying I agree with this but we were not seeing progress

Almost as bad as when Roman sacked Mourinho first item around.

Tuchel is an absolute ELITE tactician, and has proved it time and time again, he is Guardiola’s worst nightmare and a man for the big occasion. We are just miles behind in terms of squad profile, I’m shell shocked by this.

Can't say I'm that surprised this is Chelsea after all no manager is ever going to last more than 3 years and that's being generous. No idea who'll come in to be honest it doesn't really matter cause a few bad results and it's out the door.

Poch & Zidane would be the biggest downgrades imaginable!, so many parallels with the 2007 Mourinho sacking this.. the Americans will regret it.

Get ready people, you thought we were finished last season, soon you will wish we went out of business.

Why bring in Auba then sack Tuchel?

It’s insane, literally now wasted millions on signings made for Tuchel. Crazy.. and he had an active role in all of them to boot.

This is worse than 2007/08.

I feared Tuchel will last 18 months and it happened. Last two of his jobs have been just that. Anyway I thought he'd be given time but there have been signs he is not comfortable under the new owner.

He said he loved to have Petr and now he doesn't. I think this alone created friction. Instead of Petr he worked with Todd and his crew who know little about football.

I also think he is a very volatile as a person. Probably things were said after the game you can't take back.

I'm gutted to see him go. Only manager in the last 10 years that has seen us compete in europe. Results wise, league form has never really been great other than about 6 weeks last season, but we have been outstanding in cup competitions.

I dont see us upgrading, so whoever comes in wont have the same pedigree. Bizarre that we have spent so much money, only to change manager after 6 games, with us currently in 6th.

Maybe we now end up with more deadwood. Very suprised, pretty sad aswell.

Not sure who comes in next, Potter would be an interesting shout, but I doubt the owners make such a low profile 1st appointment.

Probably end up with Pochettino, and Paul Mitchell as dof. Ironic with Conte at spurs, and I would argue we got the worse out of that exchange.

Not surprised at the decision, thought it was coming, just surprised how quickly.

Onward and upwards and hopefully I’ll soon get to enjoy watching Chelsea’s players being unshackled and produce some entertaining attacking football instead of the sh*t being churned out week after week.

I don't get it.....

Why back your manager with over 250 million pounds of new signings (plus big wages), only to sack them?

Surely you'd wait, pick the manager you want and back them instead.

Makes no sense.....

These billionaires have more money than patience.

It's utter insanity. We know Auba can be a prick from his Arsenal days, and I thought the whole point of him signing with us was to work with TT, as he is one of the few people who can keep him in-line.

even the media hadnt started yet and boom.. Why send Lukaku on loan /buy Auba/extend Azpi.. crazy.. i dont think even the players expected it.. If we were to sack someone for poor performance a few players come to mind first starting with Ziyech ..

Pep plays players out of position all the time in case you didn't notice.

Klopp has turgid games just as well but got bailed out by actual world class players more than once (and some refs as well).

None of them had to work within a free fall club losing half their defense and about to lose half their midfield (not that we'd notice since they are mostly injured or half-fit anyway).

Also begs the question who's really on par with those two managers? None I'd say. If you want to challenge for a title against those juggernauts (mostly City this year I guess) you have to appoint a manager to last and build a squad to fit him - just like those two clubs actually did. So either they should have done their homework before pre-season and appoint someone they think more capable of this to invest heavily afterwards or actually back the manager you got and who showed that he is capable of winning stuff - and back him not only with new shiny toys but in the actual dressing room.

The new owners are at fault for not making this decision at the start and backing a new manager in transfer window with the cash they have just blown. The crap football bad tactics started long before the club was in free fall . Yes Pep plays players out of position sometimes but it usually works Klopp like every manager has turgid games but they don't usually last  a full season

We have been through all the top managers bar Klopp and Pep and I suspect they would be sacked also.

Definitely. Klopp's start to Liverpool wasn't exactly stellar, he didn't even qualify for the Champions League. Man City only secured Champions League by 3 points on the last day of the season when Guardiola took charge. They wouldn't have even made it until Christmas at Chelsea.
