Its literally like we are playing with no striker and it shows. Such good football but noone in the box and no shots other than pen. If we end up drawwing or losing this game it will be a travesty.

A decent half, looking comfortable so far, although Werner is playing like some random bloke drafted in off the street at the last minute, 100% effort but zero technique. I feel a bit sorry for Mendy, just standing there in the pouring rain with nothing to do.

Werner has not been as bad as people are saying. He won us a penalty and has been alright.

I would say maybe bring on pulisic for mount 

Good intensity, good movement .....until we reach that elusive 18 yard box and it all falls apart....doesn't help Spurs playing 9 at the back but there have been gaps that we should have exploited...of course the fear is Son breaking away from Dave and et al .. can see the 2nd half being much the same.  2nd goal needed though to win this.

Mount doesn't produce much but he's trying really hard. Werner ruined at least 3 good attacks in the first half, he won the penalty which is why we are in the lead but he's not comfortable playing against teams that sit deep.

Won a penalty and f**ked up everything else besides that. He's been our worst player by far. 

Mason despite how bad his final ball has been, has worked Spurs all game with his play through the middle. He's making things happen, Werner is ruining every bit of play. 

They can't be as bad second half, we'll need to weather a 10 minute storm and that will deflate them and the second will come.

That is why we need to move the ball quickly and exploit his pace. Giroud will struggle against their defence, and we will keep swinging in aerial balls

I must of missed them honestly didn’t see that.. saw him running into channels and dragging defenders out then passing into alonso/mount which was good work for the team and thought he looked quite sharp and involved .. also he nearly scored with a 20 yard header after 13 seconds ?! I know he’s been f**king w**k but can we just not be fair and admit he hasn’t been the worst player on the pitch like people are saying he’s probably had a 7/10 there.

Anyways, We're going to need an early goal second half just to keep a cushion between us and that lot, we're doing well but we need to cut them more. No idea why Giroud isn't on, don't know if he's injured but I'd have him in early doors if possible we need a bit of big silky magic.

Good first half. From a tactical point of view, spurs looked like anonymous. Still weak on finishing and last pass, the players are still building their self-confidence.

Good so far, but defintely need another goal. There have been a couple of close calls with last ditch interceptions as they counter and Christensen isn't as good as Silva at that, so I can see them getting in behind him.

Beautiful play so far,  Werner so many heavy first touches,  needs to improve.   Mount getting into exciting spaces and overall good play but needs to be more clinical.   Let's Khabib them this second half!!

Improve the final ball and the chances will come and hopefully put a couple away 

Really need to find that killer instinct. 

Dominant but very poor in the final 3rd, so mamy times we have got into a decent position and then turned back out. We have passed up shooting opportunities, and we haven't played enough incisive balls. 

Still nice to be somewhat in control, but we really should be killing games off, because i cant see us dominating for 90 minutes.

 

Tottenham will come charged second half...no doubt about that...TT needs to prepare the team for it so it won't repeat League cup game.
