Pretty sure a normal back pass where they just pick it up is a yellow card and an indirect free kick so I’m not sure why he’d be getting sent off and they’d get a penalty?

It's football 101 to never pass the ball in the direction of your own goal. Always play it next to the goal so a goalkeeping error doesn't cost you.

Because that wasn't normal backpass. It was pretty much denial of goal scoring opportunity 

Just put the game on.  Worse goal I have seen us concede for some time.  We never do things the easy way do we.

This will go down to away vs. Villa.  We'll need a win there.  Predict we draw to Leicester next week also.
