Least we didn’t concede other than that haven’t done much at all. The front 3 today have sofar been invisible no surprise there though. I think it would be a monumental achievement to keep the clean sheet at FT today. 

Ziyech and pulisic are bad. Lukaku is starves out of services he made like 20 run there. Bring on Kai to play next to Lukaku.  You have number 9 but you don’t give him the ball.. 😞 

You could argue that the plan is to try and keep it 0-0 for as long as possible and then bring on the far better players on the bench than Pulisic and Ziyech. 

Defending well in general. It is a pity we are reduced to playing like this when we have beaten them by taking the game to them in the past.

Change the front 3 and were leading the game.

Lukaku certainly hasn't been great however much worse has been Pulisic and Ziyech. On rare occasion we get forward Lukaku is calling for the ball and trying to get the defender tight to him but the service to him has been woeful. Ziyech and Pulisic are surely casualties in the summer. Mount has to come on at half time for one of them. Don't think we'll see both come off at half time though.

 

TT' blurb about more aggressive play needed seems to have fallen on deaf, gutless ears.

I'm even finding myself agreeing with McManaman !!!

Ziyech, Pulisic and Lukaku all disappointing.

City will be more frustrated than us that they haven't scored in that half.

Defence has played well but that front 3 needs serious tweaking if we want to trouble City.

We employ some proper sh*te footballers.

Mainly Ziyech, Pulisic and Alonso. All absolutely useless.

Actually feel a bit for Tuchel here. We were never going to threaten City with old man Azpi & slower than molasses Alonso but his hands are pretty much tied with the injuries.

Interesting and frustrating ealr on we were counter attacking well yet Lukaku didn't want to have a shot and Pulisic and Ziyech final balls were poor.

City have been unlucky and Kepa strong at the right moment.

Alonso carded no issue, Kova carded yet not Foden, no consistency or bias for me.

 

 

 

Bring on Willian, we can't keep the ball in the final third

Tuchel needs to attach an electrode ‘Wenkman’ style to the players bollocks and buzz them every time we play backwards.

Even Macca and Glenn are getting frustrated with all this backwards passing sh*t.   Fair enough its still 0-0 but we have been absolutely sh*t going forward.  TT should be wrecking that dressing room at half time; it's been an embarrassment this half; all the supposed talent we have is getting nullified because we have no balls or belief to go head to head with the team we beat in a final.  

Very bad so far.

They are very good pressing from the front, closing down every angle as soon as our defenders or midfielders have the ball, so we are massively struggling to keep the ball, just hoofing it long and giving it away.

Reckon we might see Jorginho at half time, maybe for Ziyech.

To be fair we have done ok with only having 8 men on the pitch, get that front 3 sorted, mount, Werner/havertz on at half time. 
 

I would maybe even put jorgi as a 3rd CM and just let Werner and Lukaku run onto balls

He's had about four chances to set us up on an attack and f**ked it up.

He may earn even more openings if he did his bit off the ball.

Sick of the excuses for this guy.

Honestly it’s not much different from the CL final so far. Pretty much par with how we’ve been playing them under T. Sit back defend and hope for the counter.

Our best possession was last 2 minutes when we controlled the ball in their half. But with several opportunities not once did anyone even try to put a cross in. So f**king frustrating. 

Lukaku needs to come off. We need Havertz there to bring the others into play.
