We never really saw Roman being mucked around as much as we are now,we seem to be now used to help players get the moves they really want,and it isn't to us.

Lets be honest, who in their right mind would have mucked Roman about ??

I was very optimistic about this transfer to be honest. I believe he sees Bayern as a bigger opportunity in European football. I guess our poor form in the end of the season has made some negative impact and Lukaku's loan added to it.

Everton mucked us around when we were sniffing after John Stones and he had handed in a transfer request, ended up selling him to City a year later. Spurs/Levy refused to sell us Modric who was desperate to make that move at the time, ended up selling him to Real Madrid for £10m less than we offered. There are probably way more examples but they are two that spring to mind.

Robinho was another, I remember us revealing shirts with his name on before the signing was complete.

Ok bored of De Ligt now. If he wants to pretend to be the world's best centre back in a piss easy league then f**k him and let's buy someone else who does want to come to us ... and if that person is half the price or less then even better.

Or these pampered self absorbed players nowadays are content to gain maximum financial and social benefit for the least effort. Why come to the most demanding league system in europe and join the team that is competitive and has its share of success but battles it out with other elite clubs when you can join the only club in a walking or now trotting league, save your body, still get all the money and guarantee yourself Champoions League shop window so you can prep for your next move, probably PSG.

Nothing is guaranteed in life. However, his probability of succeeding is very high. Unlike Lukaku who most of us saw it coming. 

This one feels over, compared to say Raphina. Bayern are a lot better run than Barca obviously. Shame as he was the one CB I really wanted us to sign

They are indeed, and how often do you see them she'll out 70 or 80mill or more on one player?

Even Mane they made Liverpool drop their price by 15mill to get. Will Juventus accept 50mill when they could get 75mill from us?

I might be in the minority in this but I don't like how many leaks and information we have in modern football now. Compared to even a few years ago we seem to know about virtually every footballer we have a slight interest in signing, stuff like this has always happened but we are just a lot more aware of it now.

Completely went over my head he is represented by Raiola's agency. Don't think we've ever worked with them in the past and they do have a history working with Bayern. Maybe the reason they believe Bayern is the player's preferred destination. 

I did read somewhere Tuchel was supposed to speak with De Ligt today.

I feel like this isn't just a football issue, I think it's an everything issue with the rise of social media. Even the plots of movies/tv shows get leaked weeks before they are released now. Unfortunately, it's now a part of life that we have to deal with because of how powerful the internet is. 

Not believing anything the Bild and co report, they are basically a Bayern mouthpiece. I'll wait until the transfer goes through before believing things.

Thing is though, we’ve been freed of the chains of the previous board and this is all fresh starts anyway, plus Bayern DO NOT spend this kind of money, actually embarrassing if we allow them to outbid us, ‘if’ it’s true De Ligt prefers Bayern we can worry about that later, it’s not outbidding frugal f**king Bayern that’s bothering me about this story. How can we not, this isn’t PSG, United or Madrid we’re talking about.

Juve will go where the money is, De Ligt still has 2 years on his deal.
