I love James but he frustrates me at times.

There was one moment he refused to whip the ball in when there was plenty of space for him to do it, he turned back instead.

I just wish he would cross whenever possible.

It was fast with little control. I do expect this with Potter as hes only ever managed small teams and this will be his style. It will be more direct. Playing fast doesnt always equate to goals.

We scored most goals under Ancelotti in the 09/10 season. The back four would pass the ball about quite a bit waiting for the right opening and speed it up at the right times.

Got nothing to do with potter. You need your player to slow the game down.

Nah, he’s just absolutely f’in sh*t.

Yep, that was pretty much standard Havertz in a Chelsea shirt. He's probably had a total of 2 months good football at best with us.

The excuses end now, he should be looking much better than this at this point.

Potter was quite clever in this game. He played a number of the older senior players against a weak opposition and changed the formation. Our new players will get into the team (Koulibaly and Fofana) but they will have to earn their way in. That's actually the way to do it. its just a race against time but its a long season.

The underlying formation with three in the midfield and three genuine attackers up front is actually much better for us the spectators and actually the players we have. It will play Mount and Gallagher in their correct positions, ie attacking midfield.

The team is low on confidence in front of goal. Havertz is the most down. He will do better when he gets his mojo. Not sure how that is going to change but it probably eventually will.

As anyone who watched southampton knows Broja is not quite there technically, at least not yet.

Nope, there were many more forward passes today, riskier passes, more passes over the opposition defence, players running out of position with freedom to roam, Mount and Havertz with pretty much free roles. Thats Potter.

Every single one of them is miles better than what we saw tonight...

I'm starting to really believe it is just confidence and a mental issue.

I heard GP took his old Swedish team to do a concert/play for the public. Got them on stage singing...maybe these guys need something like that, something to clear that mental block they placed on themselves. Something to snap them out of the complete and utter sh*t they are drowning themselves in.

Ohh I agree with that. I have no problem with playing with more pace but you can't just play fast every time. Somebody need to get on the ball and slow everything down.

Has to be one of the worst group of players to wear the shirt. Tommy or Potter who the f**k cares anymore

Bang on. Worst talent since about 1981.

Pulisic sh*t

Ziyech sh*t

Havertz sh*t

Auba sh*t

RLC sh*t

Mendy sh*t

Kepa sh*t

Silva past it

Dave well past it

Jorginho sh*t

Kova average

Mount barely average

Kante sick note

James very good

Cucurella expensive average

Gallagher not up to it

Broja being our best striker hope shows how far we’ve fallen.

And early signs aren’t great for Koulibaly.

We've even just offloaded some other sh*t in Lukaku and Werner and Christensen.

How have Roman and now Clearlake spent so much on so little?

Honestly it is like we go back to old bad habit that I saw under Lamp

Kepa - let's not talk about kepa

Cucu - very good lcb

Silva - made horrible mistake but the guy is an alien

Azpi - he is done

Jorgi - Stop trying to be cesc. Play more sideway passes. Slow the freaking game down.

Kova - You are not messi. Don't just do crazy dribble. This almost like Sarri time all over again. Kova is much better deeper than higher.

James - He hasn't had a very good season. That yellow was just stupid.

Mount - playing in his best position (free 8 😎 and he was excellent.

Sterling - Sterling is a good winger, water is wet

Kai - Busy as usual, not the most clinical

There's no easy fix for an attack this blunt, especially in a week, but I can't help but feel any manager picking Havertz right now is shooting themself in the foot. Why keep chancing it on him when we have actual strikers and actual wingers? I'm not saying any of the alternates atm are going to strike fear into every opposition, but at least you can account for where they're going to be positionally and build and plan around it. What the f**k is Havertz even supposed to be doing?

Don't think we can blame Kepa too much, the goal took a deflection from Azpi. He made a good save from a low shot prior to that!

I thought he looked far better than Mendy has and the Kepa of his earlier Chelsea.

I'd be looking more outfield/dugout/boardroom for blame after a perfomance like that.

Agreed. It was a howler of goal, from the sh*te in midfield,  the awful challenge by Silva and Azipilicueta failing miserably to be aware of what was going on. The only person i wouldn't blame is Kepa, well him and Kenny Rogers. Gawd bless that fella.

CL pretty much done. Presumably a double header coming up against Milan. So that should be it

This is a mid table squad of playersvso we shouldn't be surprised

Well certainly by the way they are performing I'll have to agree.  I also agree that unless there is a miracle that can be found in the dressing room we are doomed for Thursday night football with Arsenal 😳

Tuchels first match was a scoreless draw against Watford, lest we forget

No it wasn't

Watford or Wolves it’s all the same 😆

Wolves are just the Portugese Watford

an honest mistake
