When you are losing a game 1-0, and need a goal, why not leave your principal goal scorer season-to-date (Aubameyang) and your likely most creative player (Hutchinson), or even the last guy who actually scored a goal for your team from open play (Zakaria) on the bench ?

I'm not sure which one of Southgate and Potter is the bigger charlatan ...

another defeat. As expected, I’m sorry but I don’t see how potter is the answer. It’s early days for him some say, but I can’t see anything that is improving even slightly.

I’m actually worried here now. That’s another defeat and boehly needs to act

It’s systemic. There’s no point talking about the players. “We need to buy a central midfielder” blah blah. You could get the best defensive cm and put him in and his talent will desert him . The core  is rotten.

And the fact our new owners paid 10x for us what FSG did for Liverpool is a really significant data point. The value of a premier league club didn’t dectuple in the time between those two purchases. It’s just that one underpaid and the other overpaid. If you pay 10x your odds of financial success are greatly diminished. They bought the top AND they are far less competent than FSG. This is toxic. It is going to be a massively loss-making investment for them. They will probably have a lot of other loss-making ventures in the coming year or two and a lot of their wealth is going to evaporate. They will then be forced to selll at a big loss. And you want to hear the most depressing thing of all? This is starting to look like our best case scenario. All others imply a purgatory where we’re stuck with these bozos and mid-table is our best case scenario with relegation on the table.

maybe the players are finally realising that they can't survive on reputation - they all need to get their act together, Potter doesn't know what he's doing but the team aren't putting a shift in either

No doubt Potter will get a lot of sh*t for that but Tuchel has some blame for these performances as well. He built this squad and it has absolutely no strength in midfield without Kante and f**k all fight or bottle.

7 minutes of injury time and we still can't muster up a half chance.

If anything, majority of it is on Tuchel for his failure to address the midfield.

But even so, this is squad void of any hunger or fight.

I mean I might be off here, but I don't remember a single chance from the entire game other than the Gallagher shot.

I’m watching, arsenal, United, spurs, and Liverpool improving. While we are struggling. Words can’t describe the anguish I’m feeling at this very moment. Unfortunately I don’t want to be pessimistic, but it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better. The team just hit rock bottom.

Except Jorginho who once again is trying to act the peacemaker. Exactly as he did in the little fracas with Arsenal. Do you think JT would do that! You are the f**kin Captain mate. Get stuck in. Back your team mates up. Have the row. It's one of the things this team desperately need.

There was no pattern.. we were defending on the defensive third with an isolated forward…

It's obvious this season would be a total disaster. the question is if owners decide to persist with Potter next season.  the only thing can save Potter's reputation is winning Champions League, which is unlikely.
