Malo Gusto to Chelsea

Looked quite good when he came in. Was always an option and injected a bit of urgency which was lacking . First time I’ve been somewhat impressed with him going forward although he didn’t get many crosses in.

Thing I'm most happy about is he looked comfortable at LB.

If that wasn't a one off it gives us an extremely underrated tactical option against spam shooting right wingers.

Should be livramento playing as cover for James but that was a mistake made by previous regime. At least the new lot seem to have bought good back-up…james must know he has genuine competition for when he’s fit too.

yeah - agree on all points

Good to have competition for James, for those 2 games per season when he is fit.

Absolutely incredible performance. That goal for Mudryk was just wow from Gusto. If all of our players performed with that ability and determination, we would be so much higher in the league. As an elite athlete earning 100s thousands a week and being worth 10s of millions, that's the kind of on/off ball ability I expect to see.

Almost too good to drop even if Reece is cured.
Reece RCB with less load on his body but unreal deep passing and the same from Colwill on the other side like he played for Brighton.
Gusto and Chilwell both back in their best position at wing back.
Eliminates the need for Mudryk to pick it up deep and actually beat a man.
Poch please I’m on my knees.

Arise Sir RIP.

Would've been f**ked without him last night, clear MOTM, played well in both positions.

It's crazy how he started the first goal and assisted from two sides of the pitch so quickly.

Insane movement.

Malo gets way too little appreciation. I really like how he plays football. His attitude is brilliant and he has that street football flair in him. He is not that big but he is no pushover.

Again he illustrated how versatile and complete player he is. That cross to Broja was brilliant. You can see Broja is not that good at heading the ball so you need to put a perfect cross to his head. That was and Broja did very well as well.

I think Malo, Palmer and Gallagher are players we can undoubtedly be satisfied with in this rollercoaster of a season.

Wasn’t sure after a couple of goals conceded at the far post due to his positioning. Recently though I feel he’s been good at what he’s supposed to do, defend!  The bonus is he is confident and intelligent at going forward

I think the Dominic CL farce from VAR saved Gusto from, what in my opinion was, a red card challange today.

Refs and VAR were getting too extreme with that and the DCL bite them on the a$$. Lucky for us.

I don't think it was a red card. There was no force on the follow through, limited aggression. Right decision made.

Respectfully disagree. I would call it an "out of control" challange.

Whether it was a red or not, he's still making the exact same challenge that got him sent off earlier in the season. I know footballers aren't the smartest tools in the shed but maybe don't commit the exact same challenge..?

I am 100 percent certain that gusto will get a red in the next 5 matches for much less.. the amount of noise that I’ve seen in the media and online has been crazy .. it was a 50/50 decision.. there have been far worse decisions in games than gusto.. but we are easy targets as a mid table team.. city players were moaning all game yesterday with dissent yet none get booked.. we used to get away similarly back in the day..

point is poch needs to protect the lad or he will get a reputation.

Harsh. Buffetting from the previous player put him off balance, granted, but studs were down. It wasn't an aggressive lunge and he did make contact with the ball first. For me just an unfortunate follow through and i thought the yellow was fair.
