First time I’ve been somewhat impressed with him going forward although he didn’t get many crosses in. Thing I'm most happy about is he looked comfortable at LB. If that wasn't a one off it gives us an extremely underrated tactical option against spam shooting right wingers.

December 27, 20232 yr One if the few buys that looks shrewd. Great player, that can play at high level, with a high intensity.
December 27, 20232 yr His defensive work was excellent this evening. Should take a lot of confidence from that performance.

December 27, 20232 yr Brilliant today. Non stop energy and a real team player. This is a stretch (massive shoes to fill) and different type of player, but feel like he might be the next Dave type of player for us. Just something about his work ethic Edited December 27, 20232 yr by PhilH930
December 27, 20232 yr Should be livramento playing as cover for James but that was a mistake made by previous regime. At least the new lot seem to have bought good back-up…james must know he has genuine competition for when he’s fit too.

December 28, 20232 yr Absolutely incredible performance. That goal for Mudryk was just wow from Gusto. If all of our players performed with that ability and determination, we would be so much higher in the league. As an elite athlete earning 100s thousands a week and being worth 10s of millions, that's the kind of on/off ball ability I expect to see.
December 28, 20232 yr Would've been f**ked without him last night, clear MOTM, played well in both positions. It's crazy how he started the first goal and assisted from two sides of the pitch so quickly.
December 28, 20232 yr Almost too good to drop even if Reece is cured. Reece RCB with less load on his body but unreal deep passing and the same from Colwill on the other side like he played for Brighton. Gusto and Chilwell both back in their best position at wing back. Eliminates the need for Mudryk to pick it up deep and actually beat a man. Poch please I’m on my knees.

January 7, 20242 yr Malo gets way too little appreciation. I really like how he plays football. His attitude is brilliant and he has that street football flair in him. He is not that big but he is no pushover. Again he illustrated how versatile and complete player he is. That cross to Broja was brilliant. You can see Broja is not that good at heading the ball so you need to put a perfect cross to his head. That was and Broja did very well as well. I think Malo, Palmer and Gallagher are players we can undoubtedly be satisfied with in this rollercoaster of a season.
January 7, 20242 yr Wasn’t sure after a couple of goals conceded at the far post due to his positioning. Recently though I feel he’s been good at what he’s supposed to do, defend! The bonus is he is confident and intelligent at going forward
January 13, 20242 yr Author I think the Dominic CL farce from VAR saved Gusto from, what in my opinion was, a red card challange today. Refs and VAR were getting too extreme with that and the DCL bite them on the a$$. Lucky for us.

Right decision made.
January 13, 20242 yr Well with how incompetent var has been it could have gone either way because no one knows what’s a red now. He got sent off for a similar challenge at the start of the season so it’s just a mess from the refs now.

January 13, 20242 yr I personally don't think it's a red, but I swear that tackle was similar to the one earlier in the season that he actually did get sent off for. There's no consistency.
January 13, 20242 yr Whether it was a red or not, he's still making the exact same challenge that got him sent off earlier in the season. I know footballers aren't the smartest tools in the shed but maybe don't commit the exact same challenge..?
January 14, 20242 yr I am 100 percent certain that gusto will get a red in the next 5 matches for much less.. the amount of noise that I’ve seen in the media and online has been crazy .. it was a 50/50 decision.. there have been far worse decisions in games than gusto.. but we are easy targets as a mid table team.. city players were moaning all game yesterday with dissent yet none get booked.. we used to get away similarly back in the day.. point is poch needs to protect the lad or he will get a reputation.

Buffetting from the previous player put him off balance, granted, but studs were down. It wasn't an aggressive lunge and he did make contact with the ball first. For me just an unfortunate follow through and i thought the yellow was fair.
