May 21, 20242 yr My main issue with Poch certainly around the League Cup final and that period was that he's just not a winner. His track record for trophies is pretty poor and this club demands winners. Who knows what the thinking is at the club but I wouldn't be surprised if they go for a seasoned trophy winning manager - could be Tuchel again.....
May 21, 20242 yr I am at a complete loss, I just don't understand how this makes sense in any world. Wether you thought he was the right manager to take us back to the very top or not, there is no denying that we did better this year than last. And that we finished the season beginning to show signs of a team capable of achieving top 4. He was laying the foundations of a squad that in a couple of years could have been extremely well place to begin to compete at the very top, maybe with the right manager at that point. We have invested almost a billion into a young squad, that needs a stable structure to grow and develop. The worst thing we can possibly do is throw a new manager with new ideas in their face every 6-12 months. I've been stubbornly supportive of the new owners, I have really believed that they had good intentions and made a series of early mistakes whilst trying to establish a sporting structure. But now I have nothing good to say, they HAVE to get this right now otherwise things are going to go very very bad.

Poch I agree was never a winner, although did make a CL final, and made Wembley twice with us, actually whilst good old Roberto failed to make the top half of the table.

I actually agree with him that any attempts at badge kissing or fist pumping etc would of been fake. Me too, mate. But he never made any attempt to applaud the fans after games, simple things like that seem unimportant but they’re really not

Brighton was a good intermediate step up. Could he have started for us? Probably but it would've been throwing him into the deep end. I'm not 100% confident on a Tuchel return, but he gets way too much flak on here

May 21, 20242 yr What the hell. Finally felt satisfied with the end of season and for the first time in 2 years thought we were finally moving forward. Why does there have to be constant drama around Chelsea. Anyone know if Poch left or was pushed out? Just seems like a strange decision, unless it was already decided months ago?
May 21, 20242 yr WE ARE TOTALLY SCREWED ...MAKES NO SENSE NOW...WHOEVER WE GET THIS YOUNG TEAM HAS JUST BE FCKED OVER. WHOEVER COMES IN WILL HAVE NO GRACE PERIOD EITHER START WINNING CONSISTANTLY OR CHELSEA FAIL.

I think it was decided ages ago. And I suspect Poch agreed to it ages ago too. The upturn in results in the past months was irrelevant to the decision.

Reports suggesting the biggest disagreement was Poch wanting more direct control, which in turn would mean an extension on his contract. I think from the very beginning, ownership/the directors didn't see Poch as the long term solution.
May 21, 20242 yr The circus continues....as much at times Potch was driving everyone mad ...this by the club is sheer lunacy - He'll end up at Utd. Potch had to work with a depleted squad with many of the first team sitting in the treatment room. Well I hope we don't end up with DeZerbi or what ever the failed Brighton coach is..don't need another mid-table manager.
