Personally don't think we should be spending money on those type of players though, that's exactly the roles academy lads should be filling.

I agree with this. I'll be gutted when Chalobah (whom I rate highly) inevitably leaves because of this.

I do quite like Disasi though. Especially this part:

And going to a massively over defensive formation and style of play to cover any defensive inadequacies.

I think virtually having to score three goals a game to get a draw would classify Frank's approach as defensively inadequate. Still glad that massively over defensive formation won us the CL though. I don't remember those games as being massively over defensive though. I thought we were the better side in most of those games.

Carragher did some analysis after we won away to City where we were basically playing on the half way line.

We had such an elite system under TT until we/he ruined it with Lukaku's signing.

When i hear some of the stats that we try to cling to and develop from now and i cast my mind back to those first 50 games under TT, its incomparable really.

I think the Lukaku signing and TT's little head also getting in the way derailed a lot of the good work that he had been doing. Shame really, i genuinely thought we could have stepped on from that original dominance. I remember him havign all of their cards marked, Pep included.

As amazing a coach as he is his record in the market is terrible, as we've just seen again with the signing of Dier.

Completely disagree.

That team rely on our two very good wb to produce constantly and this kind of system is simply unsustainable.

TT knew this that is why he signed auba, lukaku.

Apparently chasing Trippier too. Trying to put together Poch's old Spurs team?

He’s slowly adjusting to the league and the pace of the game here. He was rock solid and stopped a sure fire goal with his block.
I suspect he will become a mainstay in the first 11 as he’s growing game by game.

I rate Disasi. He will never be the star anymore than Cahill, a much better ball player, was. But Diasi is fit, strong and has energy and enough skills for the job. You will get some mistakes but the team needs some worker bees.

I can't really complain about him anymore, seems to have reduced on the amount of concertation lapses and mistakes he makes.

Nothing special but largely safe and reliable.

He aint no Ivanovic at right back but looks a unit in central defence.

I actually liked his cameo at right back to be honest. Surprisingly didn't get burnt for pace and was decent going forward.

There was a moment in the 2nd half he came flying for a tackle and based on the timing I was anticipating a penalty, but he actually won the ball very cleanly.

Every CB gets a free pass this season for me. Him included.
