Robert Sanchez joins Chelsea

What's he doing trying to pass it to anyone when he's left his goal wide open and the nearest player ... just looked Enzo .... why didn't he give it to Enzo if he didn't want to play it safe?

Just hoof it up the pitch, hopefully to one our own and get back and cover the bloody goal.

Really not a game you want to f**k up in, probably the worst game you can f**k up in actually, that or Liverpool. He's not going to have a lot of fans after this.

Hopefully, something he learns from quickly, because we're going to need him this season and we can't afford too many f**kups when this team is heavily dependent on momentum.

Exactly. We had them in our pocket and he let them off the hook. Arsenal ffs - what a tosser.

Correct me If I am wrong, but that is the same goalkeeping coach he had at Brighton yes?

You are wrong.

Thought he was very good. The save against Haaland and there was another one against Alvarez (?) from 10 yards out that he caught with ease.

I was much happier with his decision making on when to pass out and when to do just boot it.

Compared to Onana this guy Sanchez is as good as Yashin

Makes some of those opinions about us making a mistake signing him over Onana laughable doesnt it, hes an absolute sh*tshow of a keeper. "Ooh but he passes the ball really well", great, cant save for sh*t though which can be rather important for a keeper.

I am not sold on Sanchez as a long term first choice keeper. But he has done much better than I had anticipated, and probably been one of our positives this season so far. Most keepers have made mistakes this season at some point and he is no exception. I think because so many teams try to play out from the keeper it is almost inevitable that we will see more gaffes in football. Since his mistake against Arsenal he does seem to be more inclined to clear the ball into touch or upfield if he senses any pressure, and that is definitely an improvement.

Great for us rival fans though, we will take anything football related to Brighten our day.

He's definitely making better choices on when to just clear it, rather than risk losing it. He's not the best keeper around, but he's done a decent job. Problem is there's a dearth of quality keepers to replace him with.

I like him, I think he’s a very good goalkeeper. He’s playing in the wrong decade, if he was playing a decade ago he would be rated a lot higher for sure, this modern distribution from keepers is ridiculous.

Sometimes I think we expect too much from keepers in general, they should focus on improving their goalkeeping skills not bloody passing the ball like prime Xavi.

Baffling signing.  he's the complete anthesis of how we want to play and all the other players we've bought.

He's a solid keeper, but we seemingly want to play from the back with a keeper that was dropped by Brighton for not being good enough with his feet for a midtable team.

He'll thrive at plenty of clubs and he's done alright but we seem to actively exploit his big weakness multiple times game after game.

Yes, he reminds me alot of David James

We were better with Mandy.

Neither he or Sanchez can kick but one could catch a ball and do all the necessary jobs a keeper does.. Sanchez is a lower grade Willy Cabellero.

More millions thrown down the pan.

Really think a youth team keeper can do a better job. Get this bell out of the side, he wasn't good enough to start for Brighton so no way in hell he's good enough to start for us. A total liability between the sticks at premiership level.

Without him we would have got a spanking really. So kudos to him really

To be fair as well, half of the saves he makes are mostly due to his own mistakes.

It's bizarre we are trying to get him to do what he couldn't at Brighton.
