Villa in FA Cup Spurs Away Newcastle Home United home There’s even both home and away draws against City and Liverpool draw at home where Enzo was arguably MOTM in each. You are proper reaching at times mate. Didn't concede in those matches and won easily?

Go read some of his comments in the Enzo thread, guy is literally salivating at the idea that Enzo flops just so he can say Jorginho was better. Anyway, enough of that. Some great performances, lets hope we can find a way to get our best XI playing this way. Boy aren't you an ad hominem today... What agenda, I wanted Enzo to come here, I was one of the most vocal people there in that thread for him to come... I just find it odd that we can win 6 and 5 nil when he isn't playing, is that too strange for you to grasp? Clown...

I thought we defended her well they created just once - you are being very harsh... every team concedes some chances .. twice it was via a set piece.. and only once they were able to create something via Emerson.
May 5, 20242 yr Strange problem to have now . Does Poch keep the winning formula or play Tinkerman and start bringing back players who are coming back from injuries? Granted WHU were awful today but we clicked. Personally, barring injuries, I'd keep going with this group for the rest of the season. Edited May 5, 20242 yr by BewareoftheDrog
May 5, 20242 yr Good performance Madueke another strong showing Palmer sublime Jackson again being a handful Cucerella moving to midfield again looked good We suddenly look balanced with structure in our play, maybe the mauling at the Emirates is what was needed to get this group listening to the coach?

I mean I would absolutely agree that Enzo would have to earn his place back in the lineup if we carry on this form without him but it's interesting how this narrative is being run to death with him and not with Gusto, or Silva when him being dropped after Wolves coincided with a significant uptick in performances.
May 5, 20242 yr I don’t care what any pundits say (I’ve already heard some make it about how bad West Ham was), that was a fantastic performance and result.

Certainly some thinking to be done by the manager and coaching squad. Might need to adapt our tactical set up to consistently get the best of them both but prioritise Caicedo as he's the one who's working out more
May 5, 20242 yr My take on what Poch said after the Villa game was, finally after 10 months the penny has dropped, the difference TEMPO and work rate. We're now playing quicker. Cucurella doesn't stand out as much, because the others are playing faster. Enzo missed out on that extra movement up front, how often was he waving his arms around because the movement ahead wasn't there. The defence is still not great, but you can see the determination and fight, to keep clean sheets. When you have the tempo, class shows more over the hard workers. I think the Villa game is where the team, finally realised, talent on it's own is not enough, the hard work and effort, magnifies the difference in talent. I said all along we have a very talented squad, a bit too pricey perhaps, but there are no true duds in the players Clearlake bought in. Even Mudryk, he may be slightly older than most of the others, but his game maturity, is lower or on par with them, ignore his age, look at his experience, it's less than most of the others. He will get there, but he's starting from further back than them. Enzo must be looking on and thinking, why didn't the twats work that hard for me.

He’s still a young man despite the media trying to destroy him.

Secondly even if they were awful, you've still got a duty to do which is score the goals and win the game. The FA doesn't just at the end of the game ending 0-0 say West ham you were awful, Chelsea you were good. That will be 5-0 to Chelsea.

Gusto has always been very good. I'd say certainly has had less bad performances as Enzo has had good ones. Silva WAS dropped and torn to shreds by fans even with how great a defender everyone knows he has been and doing it since he signed for us after what would have been the expiry date of some players. At the end of the day I don't think the point is to berate certain players but pragmatically take a view on the output of the team with certain players in or out of it.
May 5, 20242 yr Always nice to beat the Pikeys. Now on the way to my second Chelsea game of the day. Another 5-0 win would be great.
May 5, 20242 yr West Ham get battered everywhere they go, West Ham get battered everywhere they goooo, everywhere they gooo!!!
May 5, 20242 yr Thought we were fantastic today. Humble oie to be eaten by me today and very happy to do so. Cucurella again was outstanding despite being on a yellow. Badiashile, who I've called the human ironing board was fantastic defensively today against a strong aggressive Antonio. Madueke who I have often been meh about ( I take an immediate dislike to affectations like over the top braids, bandannas, multi coloured hair, half mast socks from the beginning, and other elements of apparel that ,are them look big jessies) has been getting better and better and today I thought it was the best all round performance from him in a blue shirt. Caicedo imperious, but I've been a fan of his for a long time. Jackson really led the line well. Other than Mudryk, who didn't play bad, but again just didn't light the place up like we are all wishing for, I cannot think of a single player off his game today. Shame the energy dropped really, there was 8 goals out there for us to have today if we'd wanted them. Just nipping out now to haul myself up onto the Poch in or out fence!
May 5, 20242 yr Good game, good performance from the team, so congrats to Pochettino and the players. It looks like when we were down to the bare minimum, the players that were fit have stepped up. Is it because they started to care once everyone and their dog had turned on Pochettino? Don’t care as long as they keep giving their all for the rest of the season. There are still things that I think Pochettimo hasn’t sorted out, but today let’s be glad that we beat the pikeys.
May 5, 20242 yr It'd be interesting to see how the Enzo and Caicedo pair fares with Cucurella's new role, gives them more cover at the back so they can focus more on the attacking side.
May 5, 20242 yr Great performance against embarrassingly poor opponents. Last three games are looking eminently winnable. Another clean sheet too. Looking forward to MOTD2 tonight.
May 5, 20242 yr Excellent win and performance, West ham were abysmal, as soon as we scored thry looked like they had checked out for there summer holidays already.
