He certainly looks better with the ball at his feet than when the opposition are coming at him, where at times he looked all over the place.

He's likely the long term answer for there. Option in midfield too. 

 

Feel like in time this guy will be our new Ivanovic. Different role and qualities, but just tough and committed. 

Love this guy, when he came on to replace a knackered Cucurella he shut down that side with ease. I'd never heard of him before we signed him but he could prove to be a gem.

Yeah - i also like him. Also like the fact that he is pretty imposing and looks almost "burly"....just how val likes em....

Veiga looks promising though, he has a Ye Shall Not Pass quality about him.

Not the same build or style etc but I'm getting Azpilicueta vibes from him, a quiet, cheap relatively unknow signing that could become a very valuable player for us.

Yeah Felix has many good qualities. Work rate though? Not one he knows a lot about.

Seems a bargain. Praying he's with us for a long time, great to see a player that can play so many different positions so comfortably. 

His comfort level on the ball surprised me. My friend thought I was crazy when I said I thought he might be a better pickup than Califiori. He looks like he could comfortably start in midfield, left back or center back if needed.

 

He can also, politely, remind anyone thinking of leaving a leg in on Palmer that he has a yellow of his own to give … in like 9 different languages. Talented young man.

Very good performance. 

He becomes better in coming inside the midfield and create advantage, he has the ability to play in between the lines and move the game forward.

He put some great balls to Mudryk into space, also was very useful in possession and he gives balance in the defensive transition.

Like him very much so far!

Given our history with cheap defensive signings for the first team I had a good feeling about him. 

I am very surprised by the quality of his through balls and I think quite a few of the players were too as they didn't anticipate it. 

Also such a composed, powerful header to score that goal. Reminded me of Alonso coming in from deep to score on the back post. It would be great if he can start contributing like that in the PL too. Gives teams another player to worry about. 

He's already strong on the ball, especially for a 21 year old.

I hope he’s the long term replacement for Cucurella. As good as Cucurella is, I think Veiga can offer so much more when hes fully matured. Hes got abit of everything to his game.
