But he did improve and he looks like one of these players who could get a cult following. He certainly looks better with the ball at his feet than when the opposition are coming at him, where at times he looked all over the place. Hes all action isnt he, can see our fans taking to him for definite.
September 16, 20241 yr With his height i'd like to see him starting at LB. Tucks us into a back 3 with him wide left and Fofana wide right and lets Colwill play out from the back in the middle.

September 28, 20241 yr Feel like in time this guy will be our new Ivanovic. Different role and qualities, but just tough and committed.
September 28, 20241 yr Love this guy, when he came on to replace a knackered Cucurella he shut down that side with ease. I'd never heard of him before we signed him but he could prove to be a gem.

September 29, 20241 yr Veiga has been nominated by Joao Felix, in a recent interview, as the hardest working player in the squad ! What a great attitude to have at any age ... let alone at 21 years old ...
September 29, 20241 yr Not the same build or style etc but I'm getting Azpilicueta vibes from him, a quiet, cheap relatively unknow signing that could become a very valuable player for us. If so do we call him Dave2?

September 30, 20241 yr Seems a bargain. Praying he's with us for a long time, great to see a player that can play so many different positions so comfortably.
October 2, 20241 yr His comfort level on the ball surprised me. My friend thought I was crazy when I said I thought he might be a better pickup than Califiori. He looks like he could comfortably start in midfield, left back or center back if needed. He can also, politely, remind anyone thinking of leaving a leg in on Palmer that he has a yellow of his own to give … in like 9 different languages. Talented young man.
October 4, 20241 yr Very good performance. He becomes better in coming inside the midfield and create advantage, he has the ability to play in between the lines and move the game forward. He put some great balls to Mudryk into space, also was very useful in possession and he gives balance in the defensive transition. Like him very much so far!
October 4, 20241 yr Given our history with cheap defensive signings for the first team I had a good feeling about him. I am very surprised by the quality of his through balls and I think quite a few of the players were too as they didn't anticipate it.
October 4, 20241 yr Also such a composed, powerful header to score that goal. Reminded me of Alonso coming in from deep to score on the back post. It would be great if he can start contributing like that in the PL too. Gives teams another player to worry about. He's already strong on the ball, especially for a 21 year old.
October 4, 20241 yr He’s a cult hero already isn’t he? I hope he’s the long term replacement for Cucurella. As good as Cucurella is, I think Veiga can offer so much more when hes fully matured. Hes got abit of everything to his game.

October 4, 20241 yr Has a very strong personality I feel, reminds me of Azpilicueta, ultimate professional all about the club. You need to have players like that in the team.
