Probably going to be Mudryk We could - we probably should - forget about defence and play 3-2-4-1. Two wingers and Mr.Felix and Palmer in the middle.
August 31, 20241 yr We apparently paid no loan fee for Sancho. Sancho has also taken a wage cut. He is a lad from Camberwell and grew up a Chelsea fan.

Kellyman, Angelo Gabriel. Mr.Felix as a false no.9 - likewise Nkunku. i think we will be utilising our 5 subs in every game. 'openers' and 'closers' and against so called easier teams - why not play 3-2-4-1 - play to our strengths
August 31, 20241 yr Didn't like the idea of this signing at all when I saw the name lurking around, found him very overrated. But that's because I thought we were going to spunk about 50 odd million for him, a loan deal with a cheap option to buy if it all works out (which is what I've heard) sounds like a very good deal on our end. Who knows, it might work out for us, maybe he comes into his own here. I think this is good business on our part.

August 31, 20241 yr In a way it kinda makes sense. We need cover for when Mudryk is injured or suspended.
September 1, 20241 yr The younger Sancho was preferred to Pulisic at Dortmund and Sancho had a vastly superior record to Christian back then. Sancho had 104 games for Dortmund and 38 goals Pulisic had 81 games and 10 goals I think that Pulisic was fairly decent tbh - and he is having a lot of success at Milan - i know a lot of folks around here do not rate Christian True Sancho had a sh*tty time at United - 58 games and 9 goals [a record still better than Pulisic's 10 goals in 81 games for Dortmund]. . . . and Sancho only scored 2 goals in 14 when back at Dortmund on loan. But Sancho grew up a Chelsea fan. So lets see what he can do now. Man United was not the place for Sancho. Hopefully Chelsea will be. this is from 2018 - Sancho V. Pulisic "Improvement is not linear. . .Sancho has a higher ceiling than Pulisic". https://statsbomb.com/articles/socc...y-good-its-just-that-jadon-sancho-is-amazing/
September 1, 20241 yr A attacking midfielder United signed for a huge amount, flopped, and we then sign from them thinking we can do better with him. Veron vibes for me.

And clearly no bitterness towards Sancho, that's so sportsmanlike!

Genuinely was one of the world’s best attackers at that time. Typical he got that injury and never really recovered. Shame.

Puli had purple patch every season - where he would go on a run of genuinely looking like a match winner…. …..but it only ever lasted 3-5 games, and then it was done. He was too inconsistent, and fragile for the EPL.
September 4, 20241 yr Going to be interesting to see how Maresca uses Sancho, seeing as there is already a lot of competition on his preferred left wing, albeit nobody yet firmly established. There has been a lot of hoopla surrounding his acquisition (e.g. multiple articles on website) so it seems the club clearly regard him as a significant arrival ... He is not your typical explosive lw, his game is actually closer to Nkunku.
September 4, 20241 yr Have to factor in one of his drawbacks: lack of speed. He doesn't often run past people, putting pressure on his close control. (Cue something about Mudryk etc etc)
